Video-Pet-Game suggestions?

Archive: 13 posts

Now I really do enjoyed a good video pet game once in a while. But rarely do I see that many around. And it’s even more rare to find a actually well made cool one. And yes I have played some great ones over the years such as…

I really loved Chao back in the day maaaaan. I spent years playing with them. I still love the little blobs, but sometimes you can only play such a old limited game so much before it gets boring & worn-out. So yeah, unless SonicTeam creates a new fancy Chao pet game someday, I probably won’t be messing with them again anytime soon until then.

Ahhh Digimon… I’ve never actually played the original handheld-device pet version of the series. But I did semi enjoy Digimon world 1 since you could still raise them as pets & battle with them.

The newer Digimon games don’t really interest me much since the company pretty much just turned the series into pure battling/adventure games with non of the original pet raising aspect left nowadays.
---

And yup I have many Pokemon games too. Not much to be said about it. It’s a really great super popular series… It’s actually one of my favorite game series in general if you didn’t already know.

It’s more about battling then it is raising … but it does have some small raising aspects. *mew

But yeah point is I’d like some video-pet-game suggestions. There is only A small handful of rules. *mew

#1 It must be fantasy creatures. Sorry~ I could not care less for lame stuff such as a Cat & Dog simulator pet game. Ehehheh.

#2 This should be obvious but. It must be fun & have enough things to do within the game. Nothing worse then a pet raising game that gives you almost nothing to do and or feels like it‘s closer to being work then it is a fun game.

#3 It must not be a browser game similar to Neopets. I’m not really sure games like Neopets even count since you don’t really raise/take care of your pet on them types of game. But in general I’d prefer a non browser pet game.

Also It's not a must, but it would be cool if you could battle with the creatures or something else that's actually interesting you could do with them on the game...

Anyways yeah, I don’t know if there’s anything else good out right now but feel free to suggest whatever you can think of. *mew

Ok, let's get over the obvious suggestions: Pokem?n and Tamagotchi.

But you don't really raise Pokemon though? you pretty much only battle them. but I guess they may still count... *mew

But Yar~ Heheh... Clearly I already enjoy & own many Pokemon games.

It's a pretty niche genre if you rule out fighting pet games and realistic pet simulators.2013-01-25 22:41:00

Want to store all your pokemon from Diamond or Pearl (Or if you live in Japan, Platinum)? Then get Pokemon Ranch. You can store any pokemon you have in those 2/3 games, and it shows them in cute little graphics. You can also pick them up, use toys, and have your Miis take care of them with you. I have all 3 of my Dialgas stored inside it.

if you enjoyed the original digimon world game on ps1 then you might like the recently released digimon world for psp, but you should note it's not currently translated from original japanese text. it's essentially the same game set a number of years after the original was with new digimon etc. but with the same pet raising gameplay style.
also, I'd stay away from eyepet if I were you, it sucks big time.

This game is cool, but it DOES get boring kind of fast. I remember spending hours making tornado's, and making my Pokemon suffer in them.
