Yeah...everything is so expensive in japan.
Even more expensive for those that are importing.

Wow!, that's crazy, might be better off buying on Ebay or get it shipped from America.2013-01-24 02:10:00

I am buying it off of the American PSN. [EDIT: Never mind. Even the low price point isn't doing it for me.]

What surprises me is this sale is happening, at Sony's approval, at the same time as the retail launch in Japan. Everybody in Japan has got a US PSN account just to see what's going on in the very, very, very cheap store. It's rather difficult to get a US PSN card in Japan so that may prevent most folks who don't have a credit card (and admittedly, most don't), but just seeing there's a $60 difference between the versions is quite weird. Kind of angering, actually.

I'm going to rush this weekend to buy a bunch of $20 US PSN cards for my Japanese friends. [EDIT: Nope.]

Unfortunately, yeah. ^^; All the more reason you'd think Sony would watch itself a bit here, and not approve a highly visible 65%-85% discount in other markets during first week sales in Japan! It's just going to rub people wrong, especially once they play it. Maybe someone missed a marketing memo, or Sony has decided that LBPK sales are unsalvageable and doesn't care. In which case, for serious: the Japanese version should not be anywhere near $70. Yeeee-ikes.

To be fair Japan gets more exclusies or limited editions. Also there is a red/blue ps3 slim and I think it's out now in japan.

Yeah but that's $150 more than the American price!!!!!!!! I can't afford that.
My current vita has a wonky screen- touch doesn't work sometimes as well as the back touch... Maybe we'll get a price drop....or at least the soul sacrifice red vita bundle.
