The Calamitous Clock: Exodus

Archive: 9 posts

Howdy folks.**This level is a brand new level from me.**Its' only the first part as The North Tower will be finished in a couple of weeks.**It is fairly short due to thermo but I have made race mode optional with any sticker at the beginning which adds to the replay value for the score hounds out there.

Story:**as the guardian of time it is your job to protect the grandfather clock of all lbp.**But your apprenticeship is over and grandpa has one last thing to give you.**Also, it seems evil abounds outside of the clock which means it is also time to make your exodus.

Just played it, and my thoughts are left as a review on the level.

Just wondering, do you mind participating in my project? The one in my Sig? Please?

played it, enjoyed it, but felt it was too short. I know, I know, the thermo. Battling the beast myself. Anyway, very solid platformer with some great obstacles. I love the aesthetics in this one more so than I think the previous levels in this series. The level flows nicely until I got to those spring boards where you have to jump up and down on them to make it up to the next platform. I struggled here and don't know what my problem was. I had good momentum going and then just tanked on this section. This next bit broke on me. The second one didn't move no matter what I did. It just got stuck. I was able to use the first one to fling me up above to the third one so I was able to complete the course. Picture.

Great level and I'm sure to revisit it as I want to improve my score. Welcome back brother!

I have to agree with Bio about this level. I loved all the clever and inventive obstacles but it ended just when it seemed to be getting going. I was left going "nooooo" when the scoreboard appeared. Having said that, what there is is great. You have some very cool obstacles which I can imagine are really tricky in race mode as some of them just take time and patience to get going with the proper momentum. Under time pressure I bet I'd fluff them horribly so that's something I look forward to, lol.

The aesthetics are lovely - lots of nice warm wood - and I thought your use of sound effects was very creative.

It's great to have you back creating and I can't wait for Part 2.

I thought this was a fabulous way to return to LPB. I have a special appreciation for how the many objects and intricate design elements that you dedicated to the backgrond could be an extremely huge therm hog, yet, so nicely done in order to create an overall fulfilling atmosphere to suit the gameplay and level theme. I enjoyed this very much!2013-01-25 20:43:00
