Hi i'm having trouble logging onto PSN after the maintenance from 15 of January to 18 of January. I've been told that if i sign in before the maintenance break my account will get flagged " As a good to go meaning i can still play online when the maintenance happens. I tired to log on at 7AM AEST but i'm getting the maintenance error as well as the 8002A203 Error code. My PSN account should be able to sign in because i was logged in before the maintenance started. Well i can't still log in and it's driving me mad. Here's a few things that may help you guys out. I have PS+ 90 days membership and its not going to expire till the 29th of march 2013. I was last on at 2:50 AM This morning without problems. After that i logged off and went to bed. 7AM got up and tried to log on but i'm getting the maintenance errors still. I should be able to log on. I logged on before the maintenance and it should be letting me on. I've tried. Turning off my PS3. Tried running a internet test. Everything is good till it gets to PSN and it comes up as a failed and says I've been logged out I'm not Banned - Therefore if i was banned i would have a another code. All of my other friends are able to get on. Including ones from the Same country. My sister has a FAT 80GB ps3 and shes able to get on without fuss. As for my brother he has a 320GB ps3. Hes at work now so i don't know if hes ps3 would be playing up too. And i have a 120GB PS3. Any kind of help would be helpful. I don't know why it's doing this to me. Even tho i logged in before the maintenance time. Thanks again if your able to help.

PSN is still undergoing maintenance, your conception of account protection is wrong. If you log out, you can no longer log back in while work is being done as you're only given initial protection. Problem solved.

The PlayStation Network will be under maintenance this Thursday and Friday, starting at 4PM on the 17th and running through until 4AM on the 18th, so we make that twelve hours in total. The PlayStation Store, Account Management, Account Registration, Transactions via consoles and the main Sonyentertainmentnetwork.com website will all be off limits during this period, with the usual “site maintenance notification” page showing. If you sign into the PSN before 4PM on Thursday and remain signed in, you should be able to still play online. The above services will still be down regardless, though. . .

i went to a AU playstation site and they said they would be back up at 15:00. Its 15:05 PM and i still can't get in but my sister can. EDIT: They extended it till 8:00PM GMT. How could they? What about the PS+ people like me. I hope they get a refund or a few extra days from this outrage.

How are you being ripped off? PS+ content can be played without being signed in to PSN. You don't get it. It's my membership. I don't think sony cares about anybody but themselves. They ruined LBP and now they want to extend stuff? That's just crazy. What about the paying customers. What about the users who also logged in before the maintenance? But can't get in? Sony has made some big mistakes and i know maintenance has to happen. But by far this one is the worst. If it's not longer then a day i'm fine. But so far its been 2 days since i was last able to get online. My account should have been flagged, So i can get on during the maintenance but i can't How would you guys like it if you were ripped of by sony? Not likely. We all have to come online at some point and get important stuff done. But seeing how i can't get on. My important stuff can't be done.

Wow... you'd really have no fun in a natural disaster. lol At least this one was scheduled and not just out of nowhere. Though I get your point. I would be upset if my cable was out that long for maintenence and not because of a disaster of some sort. I've just become accustomed to Sony and their maintenance. I am sure it will be back on soon. Hang in there.

But in my country its 12:10 PM I hope they haven't extended it again otherwise i'll be pretty cross. I want to get on and talk to my friends and do stuff with them. But these maintenance things. It's out of control and i'm sick of it. They just keep pushing their luck if they want to keep extending it.

You clearly do not understand the concept of maintenance, and sometimes these things take longer than expected. Sony does a lot of stupid things but maintenance is not one of them. If you find it so atrocious then you don't need to support Sony. No one cares.

Secondly, bringing up you're ps+ is irrelevant, I'm pretty sure they never promised guaranteed online play as an incentive of plus. Thirdly, they never flag accounts to allow them to play during maintenance... provide a source showing where you got that information... cause Sony have never done this... they simply don't forcefully disconnect you from Psn... if you leave voluntarily it's your own fault. B. I'm pretty sure you probably signed something in sony's terms and conditions which allows them to do this with your permission C. Sony didn't ruin lbp, the blame would belong with the individual programmers who coded it... not that it is ruined. D. If you think this is bad, you clearly were not around when PSN was offline for months due to anti hacking maintenance.

All i had was a ps3. i understand the hacking bit but if this is for more lousy dlc instead of security fixes then i'm not interested.

That's not how DLC works... that would be in game patches... not maintenance. Anyway it doesn't matter if you're interested or not... you can't do anything about it and simply have no ground for a complaint due to signing their terms and conditions, and the fact that you have lost nothing due to having full access to all content offline. We've told you the facts, these are not up for debate... Psn will be back when it is back.
