New Cross Controller Logic, Old Feedback loop logic Questions

So as some of you May Know feedback loops are amazing and can do wonderful things. Some of the many uses o feedback loops are: Health systems Counters(above 100) Score systems And just about anything you need to use a number for. With the new addition of the remote tag sensor there seems to be some contention in my mind about how useful it is. So what I know about the sensor is, you can use it anywhere on the map and send a signal to it in any percentage. This I find very useful. Restrictions that I have found is you can only use 1 of the same color and name. And this is where my question lies. If you have 1 blue Tag named 10 and 50 can be fired at the exact same moment using an adder you would need a min of 10 tag sensors from the rage of 1 to 10 tags illustrated here with 3 tags 43825http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=43825&d=1358342444 the remote sensor cant handle more then 1 tag (someone Correct me if I'm wrong) so is there a better way to handle more then 1 tag firing ? | 2013-01-16 13:41:00 Author: JKY Posts: 119 |
there is no benefit to using the remote tag sensor in this situation, as it behaves exactly like a normal tag sensor that's set to infinite range and strength scale. the only benefit it has is that it can send signals between ps3 and vita. and on lbp2 there is no other way to detect multiple simultaneous tag activations, however on lbp vita there is a setting that gives an analogue signal based on how many are active compared to the require tag count. for example if the required number is 10 and 5 are active it would output 50% | 2013-01-17 08:39:00 Author: evret Posts: 612 |
OK thanks for clearing that up evret. I have tried to build the buffer systems that you, camfer and kris where working on back in 2011, with no luck on creating a buffer system with a reduced amount of tags. I have 5 different values that can fire up to 25 in a single frame and it seems like I'm fighting my self trying to work out a better solution having 10 tags add to one another per the 5 values doesn't seem to catch everything and I'm OK with some loss buffering into one FB Loop to go into another takes up a lot of therm-o and then to repeat it 4 times just seems that there should be a better way but apparently I'm wrong or searching for a needle in a hay stack. | 2013-01-18 05:44:00 Author: JKY Posts: 119 |
