Very interesting, I can see some sort of mind bending puzzle being used with this. | 2009-01-20 07:35:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
Awesome discovery... all this time I've been deleting those stray plasma balls when I could have been corralling them into a sick puzzle. The thing that sucks with techniques and finds like this, though? Since they're not shown in any of the MM made levels, with the requisite step-by-step interactive tutorial, it's tough for the creator to introduce them to the typical player in an understandable way without beating them over the head with it. | 2009-01-20 08:02:00 Author: Unknown User |
the doors is not closing after you run thourgh it does it? | 2009-01-20 10:13:00 Author: Dexist Posts: 570 |
the doors is not closing after you run thourgh it does it? nope, but it could only open in one layer if you want, so I guess players could still die running into it | 2009-01-20 12:38:00 Author: Trap_T Posts: 431 |
the idea is awsome............. respect that's f*#g great!!! that's perhaps the beginning of some new door concepts............ | 2009-01-20 14:06:00 Author: misterwonderloo Posts: 164 |

Yea this is really neat! Thanks for sharing! | 2009-01-20 14:28:00 Author: KAPBAM Posts: 1348 |
This is truly exceptional. First of all it looks stunning, nothing is messy and it has perfect edging. It also is perfect at demonstrating that it is dangerous by its appearance. Most people with brains wouldn't ever just run into it and expect to be fed chocolate. The part about needing an item to go through it is my favourite part of it though. I can see this sparking thousands of possible puzzles. Everyone would have to experiment with it and see if there is any way of going around it. People may begin to think that it is bizarre and impossible though, and will stop playing immediately. I, on the other hand, would play it over and over until the puzzle is solved. Eventually, people will work it out and will take a moment to question how it was possible for that to work. | 2009-01-20 15:34:00 Author: Bear Posts: 2079 |

I'm hoping this catches on and I see it everywhere so I can be like "I started this! _tear of joy". Lol like rickrolling but not annoying - actually I got rickrolled in LBP | 2009-01-20 20:45:00 Author: Leather-Monkey Posts: 2266 |
LOL my friend made a rickroll LBP level, I smacked him. It was mildly amusing. | 2009-01-20 20:59:00 Author: DRT99 Posts: 431 |

Type 1 is more original, I think. I've seen OCK do Type 2, so it isn't technically a new find...but still good! | 2009-01-20 21:15:00 Author: aer0blue Posts: 1603 |
Ah Trap, you never show me your good stuff. I just get giant robots instead. Great idea though! | 2009-01-21 00:19:00 Author: Elbee23 Posts: 1280 |

Nice find. The only downside is that the plasma balls disappear after you go through them, but this could be fi- Wait, can you attatch magnetic keys to plasma balls? If so, this could be fixed. Or you could use sensors and... There are so many possiblities. | 2009-01-21 11:03:00 Author: Unknown User |
hahaha great idea! There's a way to make a version that doesn't have sound and emits a new one in place of the old when the sackboy contacts it, but the implementation is messy (involves emitting an emitter emitting an array of plasma attached to dark matter). But I have a feeling that the easier way is more intuitive-- you could simply generate a plasma ball wall when the sackboy is in proximity of the gate ;-) Edited for clarity | 2009-01-26 18:07:00 Author: snowflakecat Posts: 102 |
Cool! Could you tell us, how exactly you built version 2? I tried it yesterday, but couldn't find appropriate emitter-settings... I'm still a novice if it comes to create-technologies. Cheers from Germany | 2009-02-03 12:30:00 Author: juicy_fun Posts: 5 |
Cool! Could you tell us, how exactly you built version 2? I tried it yesterday, but couldn't find appropriate emitter-settings... Have an emitter emit plasma balls. They should be one of the many different objects you can choose, they look like green glowing... plasma balls. Just give the emitter a high frequency of fire (say 0.1) and the amount it emits to infinite. Those are the main settings to remember. | 2009-02-05 05:45:00 Author: Elbee23 Posts: 1280 |
Thanx Elbee, then there's probably a bug in my settings - tried various, and all I get is a still-standing ball. One. That's why I asked. Will try again. Thanx! Juicy | 2009-02-05 15:51:00 Author: juicy_fun Posts: 5 |
You simply have to add some linear velocity as plasma balls do not move on their own. | 2009-02-05 22:58:00 Author: Unknown User |
i made one wrong lol instead of firing down it fires straight at spawn its funny to see noobs fail | 2009-02-05 23:00:00 Author: Zommy Posts: 1232 |

Type 2 Flaw: If the sack person is close to the emitter you hear a repeating sound. YouTube - LittleBigPlanet - Plasma Door: Type 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=103Zn7QYtKw) This looks really good, given me more ideas for levels and stuff. The flaw would probably be easy to get around. | 2009-04-04 17:13:00 Author: S-A-S--G-U-N-R Posts: 1606 |
