Another year, another quote archive.

Hello everyone, and welcome to LBPC's Awesome Quote Archive IV, which should make up all of the funny stuff posted in the new year of 2013. I did make sure to wait a few days before doing this, so hopefully I didn't screw up anyone's plans of running this year's archive. (If so, better luck next year ) I will promise to try and keep up with everything, but it's up to you guys to help find and share some hilarious posts or conversations that come up. Anyone's allowed to post, and overall, it's a fairly easy process. Click the spoilers below for rules/instructions, and of course, the archive.


1. Try following the LBPC guidelines when posting here. That means no spamfests, no shameful advertising, and no rude or offensive remarks to eachother. No need to really worry as much if bumping as this thread is meant to last all year.

2. Understand that I might not accept all quotes, as I might not think every quote is actually that funny. I don't want to speak for everyone all the time, but sometimes you just submit a rotten egg.


1. Find the funny phrase in the thread, then click the "Reply with Quote" button below it.
2. Copy the text or BBCode shown in the textbox, and return to this thread.
3. Paste what you copied from the selected thread, and make sure there's no unwanted text still clinging on. (If so, delete it!)
4. Make sure to type something outside of the quote to bypass the ten-letter requirement in order to post.
5. Copy the finished quote and paste it below. (If there's a quote conversation that's very long, just attatch before the quote begins and after it ends.

I couldn't help myself. I'm in, if you'll have me. I've also invited Nerz as well, so, would it possible to extend the sixteen player cap to seventeen? Because I assume he may very well want to join.

Also, I apologize for pretty much leaving without saying a word in the middle of TCW 5, and also for replying this late, because I only found out about this thing half an hour ago.

I haven't thought of a character yet, but I'll aim to get a character bio up within a few hours.

And @rialrees, I'm glad you liked my posts in TCW:B. I'll try to keep them up to standard this time around.

Well if I die quite a few people will be facing the consequences of killing a civilian and the only way to prove my innocence is if I die. Since that appears to be the case i vote for myself. You'll have to wait a few hours for that i'm afraid, in the meantime here's the origin of the megaposts.
I have an excel doc containing all the posts i've deemed relevant, so I don't have to look through 36 pages whenever I want to check someones history. I use a program called snipping tool (standard under Accessories on most Windows operating sytems) to cut out the images (make sure the post number is there!), and then just copypaste them into a tab with the person's name. Then, when I want to investigate the lovely FreeAim, I just have to click on his tab, and I can see all the posts in one convenient place.

If I could choose any superpower, it would be having an IDE on my computer where I can edit reality's source code in real time (coupled with the insane knowledge it would be required to understand such a thing). You could start with small things, like creating a new object from scratch, then editing its properties, make it have a modified gravitational pull and such. Then move onto bigger ventures, like slowing down time, optimizing existing objects and even manipulating other's thoughts via their brain pulses.
The catch? If you have ever programmed you know that missing a character can give horrendous results.
If I could choose any superpower, it would be possession of a method for evocation in my tome whereon I may affect change in the world by my will (coupled with the arcane knowledge that would be required to understand such mysteries). Ye could start with such small things, as precipitating new objects from the aether, changing their inherent nature, yet to make them fall faster than they might, such trivialities. Then grander, to slow down time, perfect existing objects as lead to gold, even to manipulate the constitution and desires of others by the humours.
The catch? A foot awry and you face the wrath of the spirits, as all magicians are weary to know.

Because ads are still enabled for visitors, I'm not able to get rid of that piece of code without breaking something else as I understand it. I have come up with a perfectly acceptable workaround though:

If you don't think they're very funny, then that's too bad. In five months, you guys have submitted only one quote, and it was FROM this thread.

Anyway though, that was only three quotes, so hopefully it'll inspire some submissions. If people just aren't being very funny this year, try some weird stuff yourself. Then again, you don't want to submit your own jokes much, as if takes away from some of the possible humor, and I'm probably going to be a wee bit restrictive on what goes in the archive, considering a lot of "funny posts" end up being where a member is simply trying too hard. No offence you gaiz.

You'll have to wait a few hours for that i'm afraid, in the meantime here's the origin of the megaposts.
I have an excel doc containing all the posts i've deemed relevant, so I don't have to look through 36 pages whenever I want to check someones history. I use a program called snipping tool (standard under Accessories on most Windows operating sytems) to cut out the images (make sure the post number is there!), and then just copypaste them into a tab with the person's name. Then, when I want to investigate the lovely FreeAim, I just have to click on his tab, and I can see all the posts in one convenient place.

Finally, an honest review of the christmas experience.


Oh, reviewing Christmas? Yes please!

My Christmas (eve) began with a bang and I was thrown in the middle of the action immediately. The morning mostly concentrated of the family being busy, unintentional humour and sarcasm, all of which I am a fan of. The first act reminded me mostly of all other Christmases to date: most side characters would be included later, but at least the dialogue exchange was better than ever.

The second act is where things went bad. Mostly everything dragged along, the humour got dry and I even found myself checking my clock several times. So, needless to say, the pacing was very bad, only made worse by the knowledge of what's to come. The side characters were poorly acted and it looked like the entire thing wasn't following the script. Subplots got started and later immediately dropped without getting anywhere and mostly nothing held any relevance towards the end.

The beginning of the third act was also slow, but tension started building up right before the climax, which was as awesome as ever, so needless to say there was a little bit of pay-off. Then again, was it worth of waiting several hours with boring/annoying side characters, poor dialogue and convenient plot? I don't think so.

It was pretty mediocre, but in terms of these Christmas specials, it was decent.

My Christmas (eve) began with a bang and I was thrown in the middle of the action immediately. The morning mostly concentrated of the family being busy, unintentional humour and sarcasm, all of which I am a fan of. The first act reminded me mostly of all other Christmases to date: most side characters would be included later, but at least the dialogue exchange was better than ever.

The second act is where things went bad. Mostly everything dragged along, the humour got dry and I even found myself checking my clock several times. So, needless to say, the pacing was very bad, only made worse by the knowledge of what's to come. The side characters were poorly acted and it looked like the entire thing wasn't following the script. Subplots got started and later immediately dropped without getting anywhere and mostly nothing held any relevance towards the end.

The beginning of the third act was also slow, but tension started building up right before the climax, which was as awesome as ever, so needless to say there was a little bit of pay-off. Then again, was it worth of waiting several hours with boring/annoying side characters, poor dialogue and convenient plot? I don't think so.

It was pretty mediocre, but in terms of these Christmas specials, it was decent.
