This level got bumped in an F4F mistake.

This level is 6 months old, i don't pay attention to it anymore, so any advice at this point will not be taken into account.

Thats all, O.o

Hi,

I just play your level.
It is cool and there is very good gameplay section, but I think it could be greatly improved with a little bit more work.
I suggest that you color your sponge and diffusible matters, remove the dark matter and add customs elements.
Moreover, i could move your diffusible blocks at the end without the key.

If you like the desert theme (and i think it is the case!!), please take a look to my level "The Quest of the great pyramid" and write some words on its thread

Just by looking at the pictures on your level, i was impressed. I still haven't been able to play it yet though.

Im planning on extending it eventually. I am adding a 2X challenge on top of the secret clouds (If youve found em =P). Maybe even some classic adventure pieces, like from Indiana Jones. When i was close to finishing it, i ran into the dreaded "This item is too complex" and i got frustrated because that prevent me from adding a spiked ceiling, wall or floor that moves to trap and kill you (Like in the level "Jack McSetback", i forget the author but ill make sure to give him/her credit). Ive got plenty of ideas to add on to it, but Im trying to find a way to incorporate them.2009-01-20 23:13:00

My wife and I played through your level this evening. I thought it was a good level but there's still room for improvement.

Pros:
Some of the areas really looked neat. I thought the materials were appropriate. The hieroglyphics in the pyramid were an especially nice touch.
You had a variety of different puzzle elements and platforming.
The creatures were all pretty good.

Cons:
Many of the areas felt a little plain, for example the desert was just completely flat at the beginning.
A few of the sections got a little tedious, such as jumping on the pillars with different types of connections and getting the key in the electric maze.
There didn't appear to be a cohesive story that explained what was happening (that's not a problem, but explaining the cat theme would help.)
The green horrible gas didn't seem to fit with the desert theme... perhaps having it hidden by a sandy front plane would help.

It was a fun level, and it seemed to work ok with two people. I would recommend sprucing up some of the areas and add some explanation of the level.

It's a hard level, but with patience the puzzles can be figured out. Be sure to listen to the text for clues.https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=7732

Okay, reviewing as I go:

Pros:

The part where the scorpions are emmitted was cool

I got 5th place!?!

Good use of magic mouths to show the actions of pressing a switch etc.

Suggestions

The graphics look very simple, and could be sharper; when you placed the cacti you made a small indent in th ground, which isn't very professional.

You're using in-game cactus, instead of making your own. I know I've probably contracted OCKtivitis () but it would be nice if you made your own.

The camel is ugly

The mummy is also ugly

In conclusion, you really need to work on your visuals, and use more custom content.

Hope this helps!

Yea i know, i been getting alot about custom content, luckily tomorow is a Saturday, so i can fix all these problems =P. You dont like my mummy? I think it looks like a white Kermit the frog =P...but i know its not really a mummy.

Be on the look out for a new better version of my level, im adding a 2X on the clouds, and some more on to the end.

Following King Tubb's update, this level has a little more going for it. I enjoyed my trip through the level a second time, and though it went a little faster (me knowing what was going to happen next) there were a few more puzzles at the end. The mummy and camel could still use a little work though. And there must be some area to the level I'm missing; I don't understand that comment about the owl.2009-01-29 05:06:00

The owl brings you to a secret area. I dont wanna give away the secret and ruin the fun, but if you really want to find the secret area just send me a private message.2009-01-31 01:06:00

I had a chance to play this level twice now, I had to refresh my memory so I could write some feedback that I had for it. Not a bad level! I liked it, just needs some minor tweeking. Loved the big kitty!! Meow X3 In the cloud area, with the owl (X2) if you make the pistons and chains invisible, it has more of a floating illusionOnce your inside the pyramid, you need multiple save points at each area, or double save points. The camera angle is to sharp for the scorpion pit, hard to see where to land at that perspective. When the fire ball comes rolling toward you, the sponge you have to grab to swing across, well put one on each plane for other players to make it across as well. I enjoyed the level, it just had a few awkward parts, but nothing major! Good job!2009-07-21 03:05:00
