I have to say this level has been growing on me. I think the first time I played it I was expecting something different and it threw me slightly. I expected it to go on longer or evolve more (wholly unreasonable, I realise) but having come back to it, I'm appreciating its qualities more. For a start the presentation is superb. The intro and the menus etc are just amazing, all really slick. I particularly like the quick restart ability; it both saves time and means no one can tell how times you’ve replayed The central concept is clever too - a single room with a single path but evolving obstacles. The obstacles are ingenious and require a nice combination of strategy and platforming skill. The logic involved is probably mind boggling too. At the risk of sounding like those people who go around boasting that they found hard levels easy, however, I have to say that I think the extreme difficulty description is misleading. If I can get into the top 6 without a huge effort, it just isn’t that difficult. Maybe the label is there for the younger players but it just takes a couple of circuits to work out a method (mainly when to hurry and when to wait) and then a little accuracy. That’s not to say that it doesn’t require more skill than I have to get the very top scores, I’m sure it does, just that the label is little misleading. Sorry if this comes across as obnoxious. I actually the difficulty level is pitched about right . Anyway, it’s a fun challenge and I’ve enjoyed playing. I still wish it could go on a little longer (which is probably a good sign in a way) but I assume you ran out of thermo. Great job.
