Stiff Bot Animations?
Archive: 4 posts
Bit of a warning, this is fairly advance logic i am having trouble with. meaning noob advice won't be very helpful. *mew So I've been trying to do something I'd like to call a "Headstand Attack" but the bot animations have been a pain, And i just can't quite figure it out. basically I want the bot to be able to slide-around on it's head with it's legs up in the air. The best i've able to come up with is having the bot grab the ground & put a gyro on the bot to point it upside down & a mover set to go upwards on the bot in order to keep it's legs & torso up in the air. while this looks right for the pose... it don't stay in this pose very well if i try to have the bot be moved around while in this pose which is important for my gameplay. i tried things like having the invisible piece of metal ground it's grabbing have movers on it that you can control but like i already said. while being moved around the bot flops around like a stupid fish until it's no longer moving again. I am at a bit of a loss of what i need to do. Also here's a quick pic I drew up to show what I am trying to do. *mew http://oi50.tinypic.com/2cwx54w.jpg | 2013-01-05 19:40:00 Author: Lord-Dreamerz Posts: 4261 |
Ohh boy.. I have tried stuff like this myself.. I believe with sackbot mechanics, this is practically impossible. I'm pretty sure Mm didn't expect the community to try and do amazing tricks and flips with sackbots, but we did. Heh. The most help I can give you is that you should try and play around with the Sackbot settings.. For example, try setting the sackbot to follow a waypoint or something while he is on his head.. Experiment.. See what happens I wish the best of luck to you.. Sorry I couldn't help much here. I don't think anyone has the answer to this. :/ Well.. I'm sure Comphermc or Evret do. | 2013-01-10 22:57:00 Author: Wolffy123 Posts: 406 |
I don't think anyone has the answer to this. :/ Well.. I'm sure Comphermc or Evret do. Oh sorry. I forgot to update & say that I already fixed this problem myself. I actually had came up a fix for this problem like 8 months ago for another project and forgot. it is possible to get stiff bot animations depending on what you need it for & if you know exactly what you it is you need to do. If you'd like to know how exactly I did the pose in the picture above, I can explain if wanted. *mew | 2013-01-10 23:56:00 Author: Lord-Dreamerz Posts: 4261 |
Oh cool! Congrats dood! This problem has boggled my mind for the past year xD I don't really play LBP anymore.. LBPV sometimes, but rarely, so, I don't really need to know how you did it.. That's just me. I'm sure tonnes of people would love to know! You should post a tutorial when you get the chance, if you haven't already! | 2013-01-11 00:18:00 Author: Wolffy123 Posts: 406 |
