Top 5 LBP-games

Archive: 7 posts

Okay, so this is simple: List the LBP games in your favourite order. I'll start.

5. LBP-Karting: While I like to play it, UFG just doesn't work as its maker. It's not because I don't like the fact that it's made by them, I actually looked forward to the game because I loved ModNation Racers. However, it just didn't come out as good as I had hoped. It's cool, but creating is a little stiff and quite slow, while creating in other LBP-games became faster with time. This one didn't. The creating in this one is not only hard, but unlike ModNation Racers it isn't simple, possibly because there's no training-sessions here, but only videos and while it's not necessary for a simple game, this isn't simple at all. It's not a bad game, oh no, I like it. However, it's not a rating I want to give to an LBP-franchise-game. 7/10 for me.

4. LBP-PSP: This is where the really good ones start coming in. While LBP-PSP was a stroke of genius and it delivered exactly what it meant to, it's not as good as the other games on the list. The create is a bit hard, which is more than acceptable due to excellent gameplay overall. 9/10 back in its day, 7,5/10 now.

3. LBP: Naturally only does this come in next. It was, back in its day a product of uniquely perfect quality and more than definitely the game of the year. 10/10 then, 8/10 now.

2. LBP2: A masterpiece. They took on all the neat stuff from LBP1, delivering a masterpiece-second-parter. It would've been a 9 out of 10 when it came due to awesome create-mode, near-infinite things to create, an awesome story and... Well, everything just worked out so well, BUT not only did they do all that with style, they also added EVERY LBP1 object, sticker, material and music to it as well, it's 10/10.

1. LBP-VITA: While the story is of arguable quality, I can't help but to love this. Sadly, I don't have a PSVITA of my own, so I can't play it often. This game took the game to a whole new level. Well, I would say that, if the other games weren't awesome as well, but oh well!

LBP is my favourite franchise of games for a reason, though none of them is my favourite game.

I will do you 1 better! I will make a top 6 favorite LBP games!

6. Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves:
Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves is arguably one of the best historical documentaries I've ever watched. But the thing is, you need actually 2 people to watch it and you need some sort of special TV remote in order to watch it!

5. LBP PSP:
Many things wrong with this game. I know it's PSP and all, but I personally think that Sony could skip the PSP one and do fine without it. Basically every checkpoint is infinite, there's only 1 layer instead of 3, you have to download levels, many things that were in the PS3 version weren't there. All and all, I personally think that they shouldn't have made the PSP version in the first place...

4. LBP Karting:
I wasn't too interested in it, but I was hoping on what the users create. I dunno, maybe later people might make some sort of new missile surfing race... ok, I know what my first level of LBPK will be...

3. LittleBigPlanet:
Probably the reason why I got the PS3 (but stayed for InFamous, Uncharted, PS Allstars, etc). It was amazing, seeing all those people with all those levels... If I come back to it, I'll probably not like it as much because of LBP2...

2. LBP Vita:
Tarsier and Double Eleven did a great job on this game. It has most of LBP2's elements, and created more that LBP2 was lacking. One of my major complaints, though, was the fact that you couldn't play LBP1 or 2 levels on it.... oh well...

1. LittleBigPlanet 2:
Not only my favorite LBP, but one of my favorite games overall, it improved so much of LBP1, and made building so much easier and complicated at the same time. Like how LBP1 was more like a level creator, and how LBP Vita was more like an app creator, LBP2 was more like a minigame creator and I still love it to death today... almost 2 years after it came out...

This exactly. Except that I also think that LBPV has a better story mode than LBP2, it's just not as memorable. LBPV is also less multiplayer friendly than LBP2.

I'd agree with this one but switch LBP Karting and LBP PSP. I'm unfortunately not impressed by LBPK and I feel it tries to be more ambitious than it can handle. I think LBP PSP is better than a lot of people make it out to be. It had two layers (lol how would it work with 1?!?) and a year after its release the create mode was substantially improved. But then again it was the first LBP I played for quite some time so I have bias as it's embedded deep in my heart.

And while I think LBP2 is generally better than LBPVita, there is no doubting LBP2's story mode just isn't up to par with LBPVita. Nothing can beat that masterpiece of a campaign.

Oh. Sorry 'bout that, been months since I last played it and a couple of things must've gotten rusty in my memory

But I still think that they should've skipped the PSP version

Yeah, the PSP wasn't powerful enough for a full out LBP game. But some people did like it more, so it wasn't a waste to make. Even if they didn't play it, they still had it. I think most people with a PSP actually bought this title.

5) LBPK
It was fun game but not as good as the others.

4) LBP1
A true classic for the LBP Franchise.

3) LBP PSP
Some of you may disagree with this but I chose this because the glitches were awesome and feels like some kind of LBP2 alpha when you play it for yourself!

2) LBP2
The game I've played pretty much everyday until that one accident with my ps3...Is pretty much fun and blew my mind on what to create.

1) LBP Vita
A game on the vita and yet the best IMO! Creating even more things and on the go!
