why there are so few people?

Archive: 16 posts

hi, i notice that the amount of people playing that this game is really small, i mean in the story mode you can see just like 10 people max in a level, i know that this is a new game, but have almost the same time as lbp vita and almost the same amount of community levels, so where is the people? to play online is really difficult, you need to use the dive in option because in the cool pages is difficult to find someone.2013-01-03 02:49:00

Well, most of it has to do with poor advertising and messed up servers.2013-01-03 17:45:00

The bugs, crashes, and connectivity issues do not help either, along with the lack of several LBP mainstay features, like being able to create levels with other people and being able to make your published levels private.2013-01-03 18:22:00

And the negative reviews dont help either , from my point of view people were already viewing this game in a negative light to begin with. Ever since the leak. its received s@#t . People don't like change. Should UFG released this game buggy absolutely not, with time I'm certain they'll fix what can be fixed. I think people should support the game more rather than threaten to take the game back, dispite the annoyances. I wonder if co-create will make it in.2013-01-03 20:44:00

I hope so... With co-create experienced creators will be able to help new creators with levels and concepts. Plus split screen create would be aaaweesome!2013-01-03 20:58:00

Despite all the problems, I'm supporting LBPK to the fullest. I know people like TheAdipose are helping spread word about this excellent game that is currently and unfortunately bogged down with problems. Since this game was not advertised well, it will be up to people to support and promote it. Word-of-mouth is another way something can become popular...a "sleeper" hit.2013-01-03 21:36:00

Also i think that the devs are not supporting this game, one of the biggest disappointments that i get when i bought this game is that the ingame store is empty.2013-01-03 22:18:00

Actually they are supporting the game, they have been working on the costume patch. its been confirmed that the costume patch is coming this month. I'm assuming next week or the week after that, either way all I can say is I'm excited for, this is going to recieve dlc in the future lol the the 1st kart dlc is coming this month , I'm really excited to see what they have in-store for this game, praying they patch in a music sequncer, that'd be a god send!!2013-01-03 22:29:00

I also have a feeling the game may be falling under Region Lock for random matchmaking. I know more people have to be playing it, and UFG made the Region Locking mistake before.2013-01-03 22:56:00

I just hope this patch isn't too big to download like LBP2's. -_-

So you'd rather have a totally bugged and un-done game to save few minutes of your life, or you would ratcher wait even a hour for a patch that would fix everything and add great features from LPB2? That's the question.2013-01-04 23:05:00

Hehe, I wouldn't mind waiting for a big patch to fix a game. But I know some people who have slow internet connections would be mad to have to wait a day to download a patch for a game. At-least Sony does good for allowing patches to be broken up into sections so we wont have to download it all in one sitting.

But don't get confused, you'll still have to download the whole patch to continue playing the game.

There are usually more in the weekends.
And this game is much better than the reviews say...if you play online. Solo is boring with any racer.

Of course this game gets frustrating sometimes. Right now, there are a lot of bugs, and create mode does seem to be a step down from the expansive features we receive and continue to receive in LBP2. But we have to remember that this isn't LBP2. This is LBP Karting. A whole new step in a completely different direction and genre. Take the introduction of LBP for example. It itself was a step into something new and nowhere compares to what we can do in LBP2. But over time it grew. New features and downloadable and patches continued to improve the game and give us the level of creation and fun we expect in all games from the series. But the series itself could not grow with out a strong community to back it and voice ideas for what developers should add next. We have to be strong backers of the game if we want it to get better and focus on the good stuff. To be honest, despite the bugs and complaints, it's a really good racing game and the community are starting to make awesome races and even thing not just in the racing genre. But it is not until the developers start seeing what we can do and how we have been experimenting that this game can improve.2013-01-06 03:08:00

IGN haves no idea what LBPK is. They keep comparing it to MNR because it's made by the same people. "Little more like lbp than MNR" Are you kiddng me IGN? And they keep talking about a race instead of "Karting adventures".2013-01-07 04:10:00
