Your Favorite Scenes From Blue Velvet

Archive: 6 posts

I'm starting this thread so we can all talk about our favorite scenes from David Lynch's masterpiece Blue Velvet.

Mine has to be the scene where Dennis Hopper's character asks Kyle MacLachlan's character what kind of beer he wants. The language is definitely NSFW, so you've been warned.

This is easily one of my top 3 favorite films of all time, hard to pick which scene I like best but I always love the visit with Ben, especially when Ben sings Candy Colored Clown, that guy is just suave.2013-01-28 21:37:00

One suave ... dude.

Can you imagine having to spend any amount of time IRL with Ben or any of those characters? Seems like a very scary proposition...

For anyone who hasn't seen Ben singing Candy Colored Clown... (some adult language near the last few seconds... Beware!)

Can you imagine having to spend any amount of time IRL with Ben or any of those characters? Seems like a very scary proposition... Aw... Who's scary Ben & Frank & Paul & Raymond? Those guys aren't so bad when you think about it, they took their neighbor Jeffrey out for a joy ride, offered him some beer & entertained him with a song. And what did Jeffrey do? Punched Frank in his face & embarrassed him in front of his lady & all his friends, talk about ungrateful... But Frank still wasn't so bad after that, he brushed it off, put on some lipstick, gave him a kiss & offered him a love letter, straight from his heart!2013-02-02 14:41:00

Hi, not really sure what my favourite scene of this movie is, cause its been a while.... but its a great film.

I love most of David Lynch's movies, i guess ive seen most of his work, including short movies, interviews, etc.
Just Inland Empire, was to weird for me lol.... 2 and a half hours of dark strangeness... i couldnt take it anymore after like 1 hour.... but all other movies, are just great.

I just watched this last night for the first time. Got to say my favourite scenes are probably the two with "In Dreams" (or Candy Colored Clown as they call it) playing.
Though some of those shots of the ear earlier in the film are also kinda great in a more freaky way + There was a scene where Jeffrey is walking down the street in the evening to the cop's house and there's a chubby guy with sunglasses standing with his dog in the background. Thought that was one of those funny/weird Lynch things how the guy was standing on the grass and the dog on the actual sidewalk.
