Shrinking things with jet pack???

As some of you may know if you shrink a star too small it will turn into a blob but someone made me a tiny star that didnt turn into a blob using some kind of glitch with the jet pack.

Does anyone know what this glitch it and how could I do it?

yea, I found it in the final days of the LBP2 beta, & called it the "Twist Glitch" because if you keep holding the right stick it twists the object, but now there's a better twist glitch (http://lbp.me/v/ye0fvq)

But back on to your topic about shrinking objects

1. Get out Tethered Jetpack
2. Get out object you want to shrink
3. Hold R2 select the Jetpack, then Object
4. Resize it so it turns small

Ah, but isn't that how you do the twist glitch? At least, that's how I did it.

Yea it's how you do the twist glitch, but if you just tap the right stick once it turns it small, and not twisted.

So just tap the right stick then let go of them and re-size the object that you made small without the jetpack

You have been using material in a star shape. The star you are referring to is the Starry Light object instead.

Shapes made out of material cannot be transformed in depth, except for jumping between the preset thin and thick layers (with the exception of intermediate layers 'theck' and 'thack' within the boundaries of the normal layers). When you normally scale a shape or object you will notice that the depth remains the same; that is why a basketball scaled manually to a small size will look no longer round.

The jetpack glitch proportionally scales a premade object (or decorations) several magnitudes smaller. Something that is 3 layers thick will look about one layer thick after appying the glitch. Likewise, many objects that are not too thick to start with will look weirdly thin when using the jetpack on them.

Notice that the jetpack glitch does not affect the 'hitbox' of the object. The hitbox is responsible for collision of the object with its environment.
