weird problem . . .

| For the past week or two I have been experiencing this problem where anytime the in-game screensaver comes on when you're inactive in pod a couple minutes it freezes my PS3 on the black screen transition between pod and screensaver. In other words it never goes to the screensaver, but freezes on the transition to it. It happens every time and I have to do a hard reset on PS3. | Great, I may have to try reinstalling game data, though I think it may be a corrupt profile since I have to do hard resets every other day because my PS3 freezes a lot on LBP, or it could be PS3 hardware issue since even when I play the trailers on PS store for the themes, some of them will stop playing before finishing but it doesn't freeze my PS3. | Oh, so that's what happened to me earlier. I left my game, went into another room, and came back to what you just described. You're not the only one experiencing this. Sounds like it's not having a good time at the moment. My ps3 freezes occasionally. 4od (video streaming service in the UK) is particularly hazardous, especially when it streams adverts. | I have been having the same problem. not every time, though, ive been having a lot of freezing issues lately. I also have been having problems joining people in create mode. | I have know idea what causes this. I actually have a similar problem in LBPK. Anytime I go to the settings menu, it freezes. It started out of nowhere though. Do you have a physical copy, or a download? | I'm having the same issues. I posted the following: Idle freeze up "I was playing on LBP2 (was in my pod) and put my controller down to go fix my daughter something to eat. When I came back my TV screen was black and my controller would not respond. There was no sound either. This has happened 3 times. Instead of going to the scenes it use to show it locks up. It doesn't do it when I'm idle on PSN or on MY Moon. The controllers are fully charged, TV seems fine and there doesn't seem to be any issues with my PS3." Ostler reminded me of this thread.- Thanks I saw Pookachoo had posted a thread to get satisfaction and many had also reported this issue. I read reports from some people that the freeze happens when you minimise all of the settings sections, I can't find the thread right now. I don't think anyone had a solution besides a clean reinstall.
