UPDATE IN RED:
I've changed the "roster" a bit, and added some new mechanics to the game. Things are going great, so I think you will enjoy! Heres a small teaser of a non-decorated area just to show an idea for a room challege I had an idea for. The room WILL BE in a temple, and you have to use the rooms security defenses to power the mechanism that changes day to night. Once you do that the plants grow, and it will allow you further into the temple.

Hello everyone, finally back again since I'm on a break. I decided I wanted to do something a little bit different since I've just recently learned how to more accurately animate sackbots. I'm going to make a platformer Bralwer game featuring 1v1 pvp and a wonderful story mode so you can hack and slash until your hearts' content!


Gameplay:
Each hero will come equiped with melee and ranged abilities. Each character varies in its melee or ranged focus, size, weight, speed and other aspects.

How to win/defeat enemies: To defeat an enemy, take their life to 0, OR hit them with a powerful Level 3 super-special.
You will attack using Triangle, Square and circle, using L2 to block (or dodge Roll if you block and tap a direction button). R2 will trigger your special abilities.

Special abilities are built up using a combat system where you gain Combo-Points when hitting an enemy. Filling the combo bar will grant 1 level (up to 3) unlocking a special ability for use. Once you fill up a bar it resets and you can refill it to gain levels stacking to 3, and the special will be more powerful depending on what level you use your special ability.

A combo bar will deplete slowly on its own (but you will not lose fully gained levels unless you use your special). Whenever you use your special, be it at level 1, 2 or 3, you trigger a special directly related to that level of power, but your combo level always resets to 0. (**Meaning if you use a Level 3 Special, you start back at 0 combo points/levels, not go down to Level 2.)

Level 1 specials: Generally will be a harder hitting attack.

Level 2 Specials: Will either deal a very high amount of damage, or deal a large amount of damage and disorient or cause temporary lack of control for the enemy.

Level 3 Specials: Will always gaurantee a 1-hit kill for any enemy hit by it. This includes in PVP. This is one of 2 ways to defeat an enemy. Getting to level 3 requires constant attacking to build up the last level without the combo points depleting too fast. So because of this, it's not to assume its always best to just get to Level 3 and try to kill someone with your special. Taking their HP to 0 is a valid alternative to KOing an enemy.

Absolutely, however, I've always been a fan of Stamina mode in Smash Brothers. I also enjoyed Allstars' way of winning but not so much as the only way so I decided to merge the two. I think it'll turn out quite fun. Here's to hoping and trying things out! 2012-12-28 17:14:00

This looks like it has a lot of potential! I love fighting games, so I'll be keeping my eye on this for syre.

Thank you. I hope someone keeps an eye, because I'll need some Beta testers far into the future to test balancing. Balancing is always rough when you have multiple characters with different fighting styles. However, this won't be for a good while. I'm still building the frame for the game right now, let alone actually play.

Also, to the question about the eyes, I forget what it's called but its 5.99 a new costume pack in the store. I believe its one of the newest. I could be wrong though.

Thanks! Good news everyone, I'm back to work on this! Had some life stresses to iron out, plus a little burnt out due to previous projects. Today I'm working on a full list of controls and attacks and other game "rules". That said, I'll have an update soon!
