How does the music sequencer compare to LBP2?

Are there more instruments? Or are there at least the instruments from the music pack DLC in LBP2?2012-12-26 00:22:00

Not really sure, I have barely touched the sequencer in the three months I have had this game.

However, the sequencer is exactly the same as lbp2. All the tools are the same on vita. If you are on the fence about buying this game, don't be.

It is the definitive version of lbp in my opinion. The latest patch fixed the loading times.

The story mode is incredible. Some of the best platforming I have ever played.

Buy this game, you won't regret it.

This game is fun (story) as is creating levels, but it is very (very very very) short- It's over before you know it. ...that said- I really only enjoyed two out of the four non-tutorial worlds.

*All sequencer instruments are available*

I don't know why you guys are so desperate to promote LBPV instead of just answering the question. XD

You get all of the instruments, including the move pack ones (for free I might add).

Yeah guys, I'm gunna get it no doubt lol. I played LBP and LBP2 for years and worked hard for about 2600 hearts. I stopped playing around the time that music pack came out for LBP 2 though. The only reason i'm making a new account now is because I wanted something more readable since I was like 11 when I made my PSN name -_- lol. (16 now)

Thanks for answering the question lol.

Oh and the loading time thing... Wow, that's almost hard to believe. The loading times were the worst thing about LBP. I'll take your word for it though.

I don't know why no one has mentioned this yet... The biggest difference between the LBP 2 music sequencer and the PS V music sequencer, is that on the vita, you lose the ability to adjust any form of reverb effects. Period. This causes cause for some annoyances if you use this adjustment a lot on the LBP 2 version. So that is a negative.

A positive though, which once again, no one has been pointing out... On the vita, your music sequencers thermometer has been GREATLY increased, or should I say, the 'cost' of every instruments has been decreased, meaning that you may now include many more instruments in the same song then ever before, without ever having to worry about going over the sequencers limit!

I was kind of saying thanks to both of you lol. But you didn't really give me the answer I was looking for
: P

EDIT:

Niceee. Good thing I never really messed with the reverb stuff anyway.

I would say that the sequencer is in superior to the LBP2 version. It has it's pros and cons but overall it's not as good as the LBP2 version. As has already been said, you lose the ability to adjust re-verb, which is a huge thing for me and I'm sure for others too. I don't know if this is just me but, the movement seems a little tacky. Positioning your notes can be frustrating at times bu maybe that's just me. Although, you o get all the instruments including the move ones, like as also already been said, which is really great and then of course you can create music wherever you are because the Vita is portable. But in the end I would say that the Vita sequencer is not as good as the LBP2 sequencer.2012-12-27 12:57:00

Well I did say you get all the instruments.
...but I've hardly touched it- I tired it...and I hated it.

Well it seems like the main problem is just the reverb thing? I don't remember ever using it much but what exactly did it do? The main problem about LBP2's sequencer for me was the lack of decent sounding instruments. I've heard some pieces made with the move pack instruments and even though they're not perfect, its pretty much what i'm looking for.

So the only other instruments they have are the move pack ones? Or did they add more also?

Well did you hate it in LBP 2 also?

Edit: And everyone has been telling me you get all the instruments on other websites and like I said, that doesn't answer my question lol.

EDIT:

Oh, also, since I apparently the story mode is short and you cant bring over materials from the other LBPs, how is the content? Are there less materials and stickers and stuff than the other games?

I had some time so... here are 98% of the objects found in LBPV
43434434354343643437
That's about one zones worth of object in LBP2.
Maybe they'll give the vita version some dlc love at some point down the line like the devs for the psp version.

No you get both the LBP2 instruments and the Move ones and to be fair you can get more on the sequencer without the thermometer going crazy on vita.
