I played this last night.

Your level was OK. Lacking a bit of polish, mind, but it was OK.
However, that was to be expected - you've tried to do something fantastic, something rarely seen in the community - something extremely hard to do well - you've tried to create an open-world environment of sorts. Instead of the typical A-to-B layout most levels have, your level involves a lot of junctions and areas where 3 or more routes can intersect, so don't feel bad if things aren't as well put together as simpler level layouts.

Honestly, I'd love to see more levels that focus on object-based adventuring. Perhaps not based on other games, mind. But, yeah, stick at this sort of level and I think you could stand out from the crowd with an entirely different level type.
I've tried this before, but with little to no success.

It's not really just one thing I can tell you - I think it's just practice. My little gripes were all layout-based, such as tiny little holes to enter, simplistic objectives and the like. Something you'll just gradually get better at over time.

For instance, I feel Boss Boom Box was rushed. I was expected a proper battle with some sort of AI, instead, you just walk past him and lob a few eggs at an obvious Creature Brain.
Although, perhaps that can be chalked up to trying to create a level that sacrifices too much to be as close to the game it's based on.
Sackthing doesn't have Banjo & Kazooies moveset, and I can see you've struggled to stay faithful to the game, rather than just come up with your own idea that fits in better with the way Sackthing controls.
