Sack-ich - The Psychic Sackboy

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33749402/titlesack.jpg Hi. I want to introduce a project I finally started working on ingame, but have been working on mentally for quite some time. It's about, as you probably guessed: a psychic sackboy. Plot You are sleeping on an upright bed with an odd helmet covering your head. A freak power shortage occurs, and you awaken. When you exit the room, a little scientist claims to have "found" you, and asks you to follow him to the basement. After venturing over equipment for a while, you spot two android-looking people. They spot you and start chasing you. More and more androids start chasing you, and eventually, a gigantic machine smashes through and pursues you. Just when it seems like you are a goner, a gigantic fireball seems to erupt out of nowhere and take out the machine. You follow the scientist into a secret transporter. You come out into a lab, much cleaner and friendlier than the facility you were in. The scientist, whose name is Slarbart, explains the government was keeping you for a top-secret experiment: expanding the brain to use its full potential. But, as Slarbart explains, the project was being run by someone corrupted, evil, and bound to use the project, once complete, for evil deeds. His name was Ondemag. So Slarbart had caused a power shortage and helped you escape before Ondemag could use the project, if successful, to wreak havoc upon LittleBigPlanet. Slarbart explains that your Sackboy brain is expanding all the time. He proceeds to teach you how to use your powers to defeat enemies, avoid obstacles, and ultimately save LittleBigPlanet. Gameplay Gameplay can be classified as a platformer/2D shooter. You can double jump (X + X), boost (L1 + left stick), and glide (R2 while in air) psychically, as well as use pyrokinesis (fire), telekinesis (moving things), and cryokinesis (ice). You can manipulate objects and destroy enemies with these three powers. Powers are used by aiming your Sackboy's right arm (L2 + left stick) and holding Triangle to activate. Circle can be used to cycle through each power at will. As expected, fire sets things on fire and makes them dangerous, while ice freezes objects and makes them slippery. You can neutralize flaming or freezed blocks by tilting your controller upward near them. This can be used to traverse flaming areas. This is controlled with three holograms for each power, a hologram with a controllinator, and a sackbot copying its owner's costume. You're quite a happy little Sack. Slarbart is on the left, with the glasses and the lab coat. He's a bit timid, but he works undercover for the government facility and is perfect for getting information. Chuck is on the right. He's Slarbart's nephew. He'll be sneaking through the sides and helping with all the hacking and removing of deadly electricified machinery heading straight toward you. Yep, you could say he's useful. The small fries at the back are Electrified Sackdroids Model C. Their job is to make everything the way the government should be. And you being escaped is not how the government wants you. (Model C was the best one. Model A was pretty much a toaster on wheels. Model B just wanted to hug you. Model D's weaponry weighed approximately two tons, so it crushed the droid before it could shoot once). The big guy in the middle's identity is a secret. Better play the level to find it out! If you like this idea, play the demo, post every now and then, spread the word to your friends, spread it to their friends. I'm not a very popular creator, that's for sure, and if nobody supports this, all my work will be for nothing. On the creation side, I'm always in need for voice actors. If you have a fairly good mic and a fit voice (either natural or acted) for a character, friend me on the PSN and I'll invite you to my Moon and see if the voice fits.
