Do you not have any memory on LBP if you dont have a PSN connection?

I was taking a long break from LBP. got to addicted, and i just got on today, and it seems that i have nothing. my entire LBP reset. Like, reset reset, i didnt have any story levels, i had no costumes, i pretty much had nothing. and i didnt have a Notification stating "This file is corrupt" or anything. and it is really confusing me. If this is a legitimate bug. im gonna throw my Ps3 out of the window (I outgrew LBP anyway. took LBPK of my list).2012-12-23 05:37:00

I found that LBP profiles are saved as game data instead of saved data so if there has been any transferal of saved data ( e.g: getting a new PS3 ) then you would not have transfered the lbp data with it. in this case I dont see how it could have been lost. did you use cloud saves? if you had PS+ maybe it ran out and you no longer have access to your cloud data. also, you can never outgrow LBP 2012-12-23 10:22:00

No you don't need a PSN connection. That data is saved to your PS3. Only published levels and player info like play history, scores, etc are saved to servers. Your profile itself is saved to the harddrive of your PS3 as saved data, which includes levels you create, costumes you create, pods you create, story level progression and prizes you've earned, etc. So you can access all that offline. So your stuff should still be there unless some non-PSN connection issue occurred that caused you to lose your stuff.

@nerzdadestroyer:

LBP profile saves are saved in save data, not game data. I always save mine and copy from saved data to an external storage. Oh you must be referring to auto-save. I think I'm thinking of manual saves, aka backup profile, from pause menu.
