Favorite Moments on "The Office"?

Archive: 20 posts

Thought I'd get this out of the way. Just name your favorite pranks, jokes, etc. from the show. My favorite prank would be one that wasn't actually shown but just readd from Dwight's complaints. It read something like "Jim put a bloody glove in my desk drawer and when I found it, he tried to convince me that I had committed murder.". My favorite moment iswhen they were doing grief counseling for everyone who had lost a loved one and I'll just let this video show you what happens...

Yes it is. It's too hard to explain and most of the joke is in the delivery.

Tim puts staplers in jelly in the UK version. Does Jim do the same?

I have never seen the US version. Is it better?

Yes he does. A lot argue that it is, it has gone much farther than the UK version. I've never watched the UK version. The US Office started as just a translated (americanized) version of the British one but now it has it's own story arcs and such.

Did Jim give it to you?

The Office is a show you either love or hate. The dry, sarcastic comedy is unappealing to some.

However, I love the show. I just finished catching up on the 5th season via Hulu last night, and it's great so far.

I'd say that almost all of the humor on the show is based off akward situations. Like Michael tells a racist joke and a black guy is standing right behind him.

I must say, I prefer the UK version in every way, mainly because it involves Ricky Gervais. I also think that the US changed it a bit too much, as characters such as Dawn are completely different.

Anyhow, I'm going to say that my favourite moment from the UK office would be on the Christmas special, where David Brent sings 'If you Don't Know me by Now'. Absolutely hilarious.

I believe that she plays Pam.

Ah, what is Dawn like? Pam is kind of quiet but fun and controlled.

The honest truth is that we don't know too much about Dawn in comparison to Pam; the US version is approaching episode 100 while the BBC version had a whopping 14 episodes total. The characters are the same, but Dawn is considerably more docile than the current Pam.

Remember Pam in the first couple of episodes? That's what Dawn is like...

Pretty much any moment with Jim. Of recent, when he "wrapped" Dwight's desk and had him sit at his chair, which promptly collapsed. See also him popping Dwight's fitness orb while he was still on it, and him relocating Dwight's desk to the bathroom. Oh, and taking all Dwight's stuff from his desk and putting it in the vending machine. I think I see a pattern here...2009-01-20 19:34:00

The pranks are always awesome. I love the vending machine one. Also, sweet custom title, I love Dr. Horrible

Can't beat Dr Horrible.

Additionally, I would also like to state as someone from the UK and who had seen the original first, I love the US version SO much more. I hated Ricky Gervais, whereas Michael's character, though sometimes irritating, is usually trying to do the right thing and makes (plenty of) mistakes. David Brent was simply a git.

Mine has to be the time when everyone in the office was playing Call of Duty 2 or 3, not to sure... But Jim is just terrible jumping into the wall and using a sniper to shoot close range...2009-01-21 18:49:00
