Destructible Objects

I have tried several things, even with the help of amazingpoo, and we can't seem to figure out how to make an object destructible when shot with a weapon. Please include step-by-step advice, as we might have missed some small, crucial step. I'm at a loss on this one. Thanks.


Edit: Amazing. Just F@#$ing amazing. Incredible. So... I worked for several hours on a project I had started today, which was a custom game mode. I had all kinds of things laid out, and I was asking this to get help with something I was having problems with. After I posted this, I started the game up to work on my level... and it's just gone. Vanished. It isn't on my moon anymore.

I'm going to bed.

Sucks about your level. But I think destructible objects are easy enough to make. Just connect a weapon blast sensor to a object destruction item. Make sure you set the blast sensor to 1 and select all blasts. Adjust the object destruction item as needed, include rigid connections if desired. I used this technique for a few of my deer (not all) on my battle arena, Mushroom Battle Arena (https://karting.lbp.me/v/2zrl).

One thing to note, though - this will only work if the weapon explodes when it hits the object, aka bouncing weapons will not destroy the object.

Someday I plan to make an entire arena based on destructible environments.

Can you place a tag on the weapon before capturing it for use in the weaponiser tweaker, then an impact sensor set to sense the same tag linked to a destroyer on the object you want destroyed?

That's the first thing that comes to mind.

What Arat says should work. I had to do something similar but with the kart instead of the weapon. It should work that way.

I should mention that simply using an impact sensor/destroyer will allow an object to be destroyed by a weapon.

So if you only want the weapon to trigger the destroyer, then do what Arat says and place a tag on the weapon and set the impact sensor to match the same tag (via the impact sensor's options, not with a tag sensor) and it should only read the weapon with the tag. So no other impacts would destroy the object.
