imagine if the nes could have the physics engine...

Nah, Mario didn't really have physics, all of it was simulated. a Physics game is where the stuff happens in real time. So, you push a box, and it would drag and feel the way it should. You have a tower of bricks, it would crumble.

Mario was all simulated, because you'd get to push a block, or hit a block, and it would all be programed to do so.
Real time physics engine might just explode the NES, Haha,

lol well arent all physics in games simulated? just the items are simulated to act the way they should... or are there actual codes for physics in games?2008-08-17 08:03:00

It's much much more complex than what Mario's "physics" were. It's not to a point where everything happens independent of programming (although they can now do that; see Backbreaker and Star Wars: Unleashed) but it's more than simulation. They program a physics engine, instead of the actual physics.2008-08-17 12:22:00
