So, I have a question. How the heck do I actually get my PS Vita to connect to my PS3? I start up the cross controller app on vita with LBP2 running on PS3 and nothing happens. I know that it should work because this is after the 1.20 update that has the cross controller tutorials in it, but unfortunatly, no tutorial for to actually use it. Instead, they give you a tutorial on how to use the basic materials on vita. It doesn't even make sense why they would have that tutorial, it's just random.

It's not going to work until you actually download the cross-controller dlc.

It doesn't work WITH dlc purchased and isntalled on my PS3. I selected the remote play -> crossplay feature and it just sits there loading trying to find my PS3... it's RIGHT INFRONT OF THE PS3 The wifi signal is only 16% here at my campus dorm. Sooo... looks like this pack will never work when I'm at school... why can't we just use the vita via bluetooth. Wifi sucks. BTW: My PS3 is connected via ethernet cord to the school's internet while my vita is connected to the school via wifi.

Meaning that they aren't connecting through a server, but rather a wifi transmitter. I'm afraid you won't be able to make it work. I may be wrong though.

Yeah it shouldn't have anything to do with that. They should make it so the vita connects via it's own network to the playstation 3 via remote play just like remote play has always worked... this is incredibly frustrating.. has anyone even gotten this DLC to work?!

Nope and it seems the new update messed up a lot more than just that too. Sackboy animating and sack bot logic are messed up now. This really sucks...

Well according to the vita online user manual, this is literally all it says about the cross controller feature: (Cross-Controller) Tap to download and install application data (game data) from a PS3™ system to a PS Vita system for games that support the Cross-Controller feature. I'm wondering if that means that you can use the cross controller feature without having lbpVita? Maybe it downloads some software from the game and that makes the vita a cross controller? Can anyone confirm if you actually need the LBPVita version of the game to use the cross controller feature? Yes, your right I don't have LBPVita yet, but I'll pick it up for my vita in Jan sales

I'm having the same problem here. The cross controller on Vita is not detecting the PS3 at all. My PS3 has a wired connection while the Vita is wireless. Is that the problem? Do they both need to be wireless?

I got it to work! Once you download the DLC, there is a new button under "Me" that says cross controller. Select that and then use the vita as normal with the cross controller app. It will download an app called "Littlebigplanet 2 cross controller". Be warned; it takes a while to download.

Problem wasn't directinos, it's the vita itself. The wifi is terrible. Even the slightest move forward disconnects me from the content. It was even worse yesterday at school with weaker signal, but now I'm home with a stronger signal, and my game is constantly plagued with "Reconnect your Vita" messages popping up every second. This DLC basically will only be fun if you have the strongest internet connection in the world -_-

Well it's broken again. I try to connect and it just sits there saying "please wait...". I'm going to be waiting until the end of the world at this rate! EDIT: I have now left it loading for 30 minutes strait right after renewing my remote play connection, and still no luck. I don't know whats wrong, but I am ready to contact support. Re-EDIT: ...and it's working again.
