Hey guys, I didn't know where to introduce a tournament since the forum's categories don't really suit "race organisation", so I've posted it here. Date: To be announced, depending on level of interest. As you all know, LittleBigPlanet Karting has some serious freezing issues and struggles to connect friend groups, particularly to each other's Pods. Therefore, the first rule this tournament has in place until the game receives a patch is that after each race, we will quit to our own Pods, before waiting for mine or another competitor's invitation to join a race lobby. The points system I like to run credits the winners and podium finishers more than 4th and below: 1st - 15 points 2nd - 12 points 3rd - 8 points 4th - 6 points 5th - 4 points 6th - 2 points 7th - 1 point 8th - 0 points To keep the tournament very introductory, I propose 10 races / battles on LittleBigPlanet's own Story Mode VS. tracks, before we start thinking about user-created levels (which is where I'd like to see these tournaments head). The track order will be as follows: Firebug Circuit Turtle Island Current Events Lost in Bass Future Perfect The RoboBun Test Chamber Cakes on a Train World's Fair in Love and War Huge Spaceship Zeppelin's Rule The level of this tournament will be advanced / very knowledgeable of the tracks. I can drift through almost the entirety of those tracks, which when undisturbed, produces some of the world's leading times. So, the idea is to gather those of you who are familiar with weapons, drifting and who think you can stop me! But even if you fancy a challenge and you're still learning the game, sign up for a bit of fun. Every human player can make a difference with a Fast Forward and a Flash Bang! Sign-ups: 1. Come on people, what kind of a dying community is this? I haven't been able to find anyone other than Caiman_6 to race with since buying the game. We don't have to have a tournament, but racing the community's tracks with 7 other humans would be a fantastic experience if we organise it properly. It's hard to find people who know how to boost off the start line at the moment, never mind who can drift the whole track in a quick time. I'm looking for someone of a similar level to play with and have fun with some more intense racing!

If a group does get together to do some races, I'd much rather just hunt down some community tracks and play together. I'm a little tired of playing on the story tracks with other people as well as Winter Epicness, Das Boot, Return to the Sandbox, and Orion's Glade. It's possible to invite people without them having to be in your play group, right?

It's possible to invite people without them having to be in your play group, right? Ugh... I never play those races. If one of those gets selected I just search for another group. I wouldn't mind joining a tournament, but not one involving community levels. I always get lost- confused- and/or end up "off-track."

It's possible to invite people without them having to be in your play group, right? I hope so. What I propose is that the host (likely to be me) joins a community level, then pauses the game, opens his friends list and invites everyone online to that level. This seems to be the quickest and most effective way as we don't have the option of an open lobby. We'll play 3 races on that same track, then all quit to our Pods and await the host's invitation to the next track. It involves a considerable amount of loading, which increases the likelihood of game freezing, but with a decent host, it should run as smoothly as the game will allow for now. Desperately waiting on a patch for this game to unblock its currently capped potential. What's your SEN ID Remy? I'll add you.

Can't you use invite people to your Pod and take it from there? I've seen Youtube videos with 3-4 people in one pod at a time.

Yes, that is possible catsand, but as pathetic as this sounds, I feel like it pushes the game's boundaries too much and further increases the likelihood of freezing. Playgroups in Pods require a stronger connection to stay banded together I think ... so it's better to wait for your individual invitation.

I'd be interested if it can be made to work, normally to get around all the playgroup issues I join a game then invite my friends or vice versa, if I join another person's pod I get left behind when they join a game for some reason.

Yeah, in short, this tournament or organised racing format would never work without numerous freezes, so I don't want to impose that upon anyone. I struggled to play with three friends last night, never mind seven.
