New LBP.me

Archive: 27 posts

Design is ok, and everything seems to run smoothly..... but how on Earth do you get to your dashboard, where you can view the activity of all your heated creators? I've always found that this is a great way to find new levels to play.

Also, my sig imagaes have stopped working.

Hmm, I'm wondering the same thing. I'm not too sure I like it to be honest. I have to wait and see it when I get home so that I can log in proper. dang work internet won't let me sign in to PSN! I hope the play now button is functional again and I completely agree with you on the dashboard. I have found many new levels from watching the activity of those in my hearted list. Sounds a bit like stalking but it is a good way to find levels.2012-12-17 12:53:00

I found it. Just click the lbp.me icon in the top left.

Don't know if you could do this before, but you can now see the activity of just your PSN friends, or just your levels.... though it doesn't seem to do anything for me when I click the icons.

I really like this change.
Sure, the old layout wasn't broken, but there are a nice couple of changes that I like.

Mainly, that instead of having to navigate to your settings to change what appears in your feed, you just Toggle them on/off using the blue 'Hearted Players', 'PSN Friends' 'My Levels' and 'My Activity' buttons.
Seems way more convenient to me.

Also, lol at 'PSN friends'. Even official Sony websites don't accept the 'SEN' rubbish.

I like the new look of the site. I believe that the reason that your sigs no longer work is that the JSON Feed was removed from LBP.me, and LittleSigPlanet was using it. The LBP Hub iPhone app (and I'm guess the new Android app) is also experiencing issues because of this.2012-12-17 14:48:00

I like it, but just trying to get the hang of it. I do like the extra features. Finding the ones I used to like has been a bit of a challenge, but I will get over it soon. lol2012-12-17 15:33:00

I like the layout and new features but I absolutely hate how it looks. Yes, this season's most hideous shade of putrid green is well displayed, as well as it being pretty bland on top of that. On levels I also dislike seeing top reviews as the default instead of recent activity. Whatever. Even though it's a hit and miss update, it's still miles better than Karting.2012-12-17 19:03:00

Wish they left it alone, it's just a green version of vitas and kartings. Not saying they are bad, but the original was unique and different from other 2.2012-12-17 19:07:00

(and I'm guess the new Android app)
Can confirm, although I should have a update out later to fix the issues.

Hmmm. Am I correct in thinking you can no longer see who has Hearted you?
Not that's a big deal, really. Just seems odd to actually lose an activity type from those covered by the older version.

I was getting LBP.me earlier but now I can't get it.
Anyone else have this problem?

EDIT:
I can still pull up the LBP.me karting and Vita but not LBP 1 or 2

At first, I wasn't sure what to make of the new update but I'm starting to like it a lot. The green & blue interface may not be as easy on the eye as it once was but I haven't found anything wrong with it technically.

It also works quite well on the PS Vita's browser too. It's now possible to queue levels on it which may sound pointless to some of you but whenever you're playing the Vita on the go and feel like queueing up some LBP2 levels, it's fairly handy

Runs better than it ever has. Very fast links.

Hopefully they'll make a quality android app to go along with it.

Eh, I'm not fond of random "matching" DLC being advertised every time you use the search function. I'm also surprised they haven't included a reviews left by this user function. On the plus side, the new http://littlebigplanet.com/ looks nice, even if I preferred the older.2012-12-18 16:59:00

I have recently published an Android app for LBP.me it doesn't have a huge feature set just yet, but im working on it!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jeremysteckling.lbpmobile3

But yeah the update seems kinda like a copy and paste of the Vita version, descriptions for game specific pins say "LittleBigPlanet Vita."

I don't like this new lbp.me. The only information I'm interested in is who played my levels and the comments they made. This used to be shown on the main page, but now I can't find it anywhere. It all focuses on what I've played and what my "friends" have played, but I already know what I've played and I couldn't care lesss what my "friends" have played.

So where is the page that shows you the recent community activity on your created levels?

Just click your username in the top right, then click Published Levels on the right. Also, in the recent activity on your Dashboard, you can view the activity on all your levels together.2012-12-22 19:28:00

Yeah, I was looking all over the place before I accidentally hit my username. I suppose it was obvious really, but things are very seldom obvious so I was looking everywhere else.

This doesn't seem to be working properly. I selected "recent activity/my levels" and what it actually shows me (right now) is what GribbleGrunger has been playing, not the recent activity on my levels as one might reasonably expect.

It's a bit confusing at first, but it goes like this-

Each button toggles between showing said activity and not showing it. The way to be certain of what is showing in the activity is to click a few of the buttons then look in the browser address bar at the top. You will see something like:

http://lbp.me/home/alistair26?my_levels=true&friends=false&hearted_users=true

So, the page is now showing activity on:
My levels
Hearted Players

And not:
My Activity (which is defaulted to "false)
My Friends

If you look at the buttons, if a button looks like it's indented, then the activity for that option is shown.
