Motorcycle Mayhem!

My newest level for the vita. Race through the streets on your motorcycle while defending your truck driving friends with your sword. its pretty fun... basically a copy of ffvii's bike chase. have fun and leave a comment on what you think

I have also made the bike, enemies, car, and music sequencers all prizes for completing the level and getting a decent score. have fun with the objects and make your own awesome levels.

Beautiful tribute! I love FFVII...well I love FF! You did a good job with logics and music!
The attack with the sword must be improved, is not always smooth, especially the attack on the right...it seems very laggy. Second thing, imho it would be better if the attacks was not causing any damage to the truck.

A little OT: The next level is really nice, but arrived at the level link you can not access because the Triangle button is occupied for the Meteorain attack!

Update. I fixed the sword attack so it works right without flying all over the place. I also tweaked several things like the enemies movements so they now detect the sword attack and move accordingly. I have also added a boss type vehicle at the end of the level. the truck doesn't detect the attack any more however it does detect impacts so try not to run into it.
once again all the enemies, boss, motorcycle, and the music sequencer are prizes for completing the level with a decent score.

I fixed the next level by ejecting the player from the sackbut when you reach the end/level link.

Thanks for your feedback and hope you get the chance to try the improved version I've made. and too all of you who haven't tried it yet. quit waiting and do it. It will not disappoint you.

Love your Levels man. Stylish with fun gameplay.

Worked fine for me, made the topscore ^^ This level was funnier than this similar Minigame in the Arcades from the Developers.

Hey there Papp!
Your level is pretty neat! A GREAT tribute to FF7.

As state by someone else, perhaps you should fix it so when you yourself hit the truck you don't cause it to be damaged.
That way when you're trying to get inbetween your truck and the enemies, you don't accidently hit your own truck and get damaged anyways...

Also perhaps you should disable popup controls. The first time I played, I pressed square thinking it and O would be the attacks not L and R, and the pop up menu came up in the middle of the game.

Oh and... If there is nothing besides "Touch to Start" on the title screen... then there is no real point in having said title screen...
Perhaps a few options or something... I dunno? Different music tracks? Different color corrections?

Regardless though your level is really neat, and looks nice.

Would you try my level Triple Tap Time by chance?
I'm probably going to feature some of your RPG tracks in that level as selectable music tracks. To Zanarkand is probably my favorite videogame song of all time what so ever. It's just so... beautiful...

Hey, played this the other night, sorry it's taken me a while to write this.

K, so I recon the actual idea is great fun, but Im not sure thera any replay value? Heres some thoughts that would make it stand out a little more:
Power ups? Guns, bombs, molotoves (you could do touch to activate a power up on nicely designed HUD?!
Ramps that you need to jump over to avoid obstacles (perhaps you could also shoot at them?)
Barrels that explode and do damage to enemies it'll you shoot at them?
A change of scenery? (I've just done a tip down shooter, there ate some prises in there that you may want to use like buildings and a nice looking too down car.... Trees and other stuff wod be cool to.
Bonus stars for extra points.
All these would make the game feel more polished and perhaps worthy of a retry... Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed playing it, but it felt a little 'unfinished'. I hope you see I'm just trying to help dude, please, don't take offence

no offence taken. I actually love it when people tell me the things they would like to see. I thought about having people in the truck be able to through gernades/bombs at the enemies with the touch of the screen, so i might try to implement that sometime. as lukeCF said that the truck still takes damage even if you hit it with your motorcycle. im going to keep this because it is more realistic, as a truck still would take damage regaurdless of who's hitting it. I might however add a couple more hits to the truck to make more room for error of the player. Ill play your guy's levels and let you know what i think as well. thanks for all the helpfull advice.2013-01-20 15:59:00
