SOTC based Level
Archive: 9 posts
So I was playing the final boss of SOTC a few minutes ago and I had a great idea for a level based around him. It is a bit ambitious for my level but I think I can pull it off. If possible I will start working on something like this tomorrow and I will upload some pictures of my progress. UPDATE: I decided to start working a bit on it tonight.... Im hoping that the height limit does not prove to be a problem http://felixmcli.org/imgs/16th.jpg | 2012-12-10 02:01:00 Author: Unknown User |
Great idea. A tip: if you lower the water level and floor all the way down you'll have a lot more vertical space to work with. | 2012-12-10 10:20:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
Rogar: That's brilliant in a "very obvious but I never thought of it so I feel like a complete buffoon" sort of way! I wish I would have thought of that before I started on this current track. *BEATS HEAD ON DESK* Also, A SOTC based track is a fantastic idea, but I'm glad that I'm not doing it. I can't imagine how difficult it is going to be if you are thinking of doing what I THINK you're thinking of doing. | 2012-12-10 13:27:00 Author: Wigriff Posts: 118 |

Im having a few problems doing the lower section of the colossus around the legs and I am constantly going back and forth between a walkthrough and the game to make sure im doing it as accurate as possible. But I do plan on making a few changes to the width of a few of the platforms around him so I can add some shortcuts or just implement it into the main track. | 2012-12-10 16:24:00 Author: Unknown User |
If you need any help or advice, PM me. I have become rather adept at the tedious and meticulous task of recreating stuff from video games in LBP Karting. | 2012-12-10 16:49:00 Author: Wigriff Posts: 118 |
Testing Track Elements and Fog effects. Working on Colossus once I get a better idea of how I will use him.http://s11.postimage.org/mz5j8b2qr/Little_Big_Planet_Karting.jpg | 2012-12-12 15:42:00 Author: Unknown User |
I imagine you don't feel you could have made the track tall enough for it. May I suggest you use the kart scaler to halve the size of the karts, then you would only have to make the colossus half as high to still get the feel. | 2012-12-13 04:52:00 Author: IvoYaridovich Posts: 88 |
You can do that...? Narrasand! You might be able to do it after all! | 2012-12-13 04:57:00 Author: Wigriff Posts: 118 |
Yea you can scale the karts, I did it in Little Big Space-K, just a tad, to help navigate. Or at least I did originally O.o I dunno the spawnpoints are cluttered now. But you can indeed make karts bigger and smaller. I haven't had a chance to try it out in full bloom yet, but I imagine it will make those tiny arenas possible to use as giant open worlds. ***I still want level links*** | 2012-12-15 00:23:00 Author: anarchowolf Posts: 194 |
