Christmas wishes

With Christmas just a few weeks away, I was wondering what people's Christmas wishes were.

What would you like for Christmas?

Wow... great question. I was just asked that today and still have no clue. There are so many things I wouldn't mind having. Some way too expensive and others not sure how long I would be interested in them.

I guess if I had one wish that could come true for Christmas, I would like a new job.

Ooh, I would love to get my hands on any of the following: 'Bioshock Infinite', 'Pikmin 3', 'Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time', 'Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch', or 'Rayman Legends'

^^

.....

*finds out they've all been delayed to next year*

..Oh. Well I guess a new pair of socks would be nice. :F

I know what I'm already getting. My new house. The old one burned down last year, and the new one has been in construction since last December. It's now 4 months overdue, but hey, I get it around Christmas. How cool.

Hmmm... That's a pretty interesting question. What about you Ladyluck?

I think I'd love that a little project I'm working with some awesome people to be successful, I'd like to get my first LBPK track done asap, get some cool games -ever wondered what that Bioshock thing is, and B. Infinite seems awesome-, maybe a Wii U -not really XD- and other stuff.

2. A mouse for my laptop. TRACKPAD, Y U START TO NOT WORK?!
3. Money
4. A skateboard

Unrealistically, I'd like for someone to swoop down and magically let me run LBP contests as an actual paid job.

Realistically, maybe a rare game or two? I've got something of a collection of odd and borderline non-existent games going. Maybe a playable copy of vib-ribbon. Possibly Tales of Destiny 2.

And maybe a little cash. I've been saving up for a potential trip to Japan for a little under a year, and every little bit helps.

I honestly don't know this year. I've got some videogames on my mind, but I already got one pre-ordered and the other is only $20 or something, so I could buy it myself. Money would be nice, but that'd only go towards the choir trips I'm taking next year. And I really don't need anything new; I already got the stuff I want from Christmases past (and already getting the stuff I need... like some carpet in my room and patching the leaky holes in the ceiling).

I guess all I'd want is to see everyone else happy. Every year, I cash in my recyclables around this time and use the money (and whatever else I saved up) to buy gifts for my friends, family, neighbors and schoolmates. Some people don't even ask for anything, but I get them gifts anyways. And it's not like I'm trying to make up for anything... I do it just because. And really, it's when I make or see others happy or having fun or enjoy themselves that I, in turn, feel happy. Because the point of Christmas isn't what the presents are, but in the act and meaning of giving them.

That's why I plan on writing some stories for you guys before the season is over. It's my way of giving back to a community that's really made a difference in my life.

What about you Ladyluck?

I'd wish for:
That feeling of awe you see in a child's eyes on Christmas morning.
The joy and peace that comes from being with loved ones.
The warmth of true friendship.
I would also wish that I could have a piece of my Mom's jewelry that had special meaning to her.

Not my intent dear DV.
There's not really much I want this year.
Now my daughter on the other hand, has a three page list.

I... don't know what I want for Christmas.

I suppose I should be happy because I'm completely satisfied and don't want anything more, but still... This is upsetting. xD

I know right? Me too... I am completely fine with what I have right now and I don't feel like I need anything! I could survive this Christmas without any presents at all!

Not doing presents for ourselves this year, we (my husband and I) went half and half on a decent mattress instead. Give the gift of SLEEP! lol!

My actual christmas wish: Good Food, Good Company, and peace and quiet

Hmmmm...great question, Lady (translated--she's sitting right next to me, so I better be cautious how I answer )

1. An eternity with my wife and daughter
2. Perfect harmony (on a global scale)
3. The recipe to my Grandmother's egg custard...it was a taste of heaven and the perfect dessert to cap off an incredible Christmas day lunch.

Merry Christmas everyone!

My, my. You know, one of them is almost impossible. Grandmas keep their recipes really well hidden.

Yeah, I don't care much for presents. I usually get disappointed at my gifts when I get what I don't want.

Case in point: I'm not a movie person, so I would get disappointed if I get a movie.

But then again, Christmas is a time of gifting, not demanding.

With me, although I like cold days and Christmas decorations (especially the lights), I don't have much spirit in Christmas when it comes to stuff like Santa Claus and Rudolph. Now for Jesus, that's important, but it's not about Santa Claus or presents.

A puppy!

My flatmates won't let me get one though MAYBE ITS A SURPRISE

Other than that, nothing. I've got to the age where I don't really want / need anything that I can't get myself, and I'd rather just treat back all those who've been so generous in the past.

I'm going to have to agree to those who said they don't want anything. My mom has been begging me to make an X-mas List for weeks, I finally just chose a few shirts and pants.

Now that LBP2 Cross-Controller DLC... THAT'S something I'm looking forward to. But I think I'll have 5 bucks to spare in my PSN wallet, so it'll be my gift to myself.
