LittleBigExperience Upgraded!

There's a few new features you guys will love, so here's a rundown of some of them:

Gifting Items

Head to Items I Own (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/xperience.php?go=shop&do=own) (Shop > Items I Own) and click "Give as a Gift" under the item you want to give to someone else. It will ask you for the username of the member you want to give it to; just fill it out and click "submit"! The member you send the item to will be automatically PMed about the item you sent, to make the whole process even easier.
Selling Items Back to the Shop

Just head to Items I Own (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/xperience.php?go=shop&do=own) and click "Sell for 75%". You'll receive 75% of the xp you originally paid.
New Experience

Anything you do in a social group will now be counted into the calculation of xp. Along with that, completing your profile (such as filling in your PSN) will earn you even more xp.
Transactionlog

A complete log of your transactions (including selling items back to the shop and gifting items) is kept. Just go Shop (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/xperience.php?go=shop) > My Transactions (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/xperience.php?go=shop&do=ta) to see it.
Improved Awards

First of all, admins and mods are no longer taken into account when calculating awards. This keeps us "out of your hair", so to speak. Plus, the "Activity" award has been tweaked so only the person with the most activity is at 100%. Everyone else will be at 99% or below, so you can see at a glance who is the most active.

- New Experience: Completing Profile (per editable profile fields, excluded are fields with a default value)
- New feature: Earn Points. It tells the user where and how he can get points. Title and description are pulled from phrases of the settings
- New feature: Shop: User can give away item (gift) to someone
- New feature: Shop: User can sell item back to shop and get 75% points back (amount setable)
- New feature: Shop: User can see own transactions
- Awards: Fixed handling of awards for ignored usergroups (thanks goes to Abe1)
- Awards: You can now define the max awards a user can get (thanks goes to Abe1)
- Awards: Award for activity is beeing set only to one user (more experience points wins), all other users are getting 99%.
- Awards: You can exclude usergroups from getting Awards. Administrators (Group ID 6) are excluded by default.
- Fixed margin of vBExperience tab in profile
- Rankings: Fixed XSS Vulnerability (thanks to snunhuck and Y4I)15)
- Experience: Handling of "Post Thank You" data now via CDP Addon. Support in Experience core has been dropped. You will need to import the addon from extras/addons.
- Shop: Fixed AdminCP Links visible to everyone
- Shop: Fixed AdminCP, Manage Shop, "Transactionlog (Page %1$s/%2$s) | There are %3$s Entries."
- Shop: Fixed missing BBUrl Prefix
- Shop: Give Away is sending PM to receiver (setable)
- Shop: Selling item is sending PM to defined list (setable)
- Shop: Writing a PM upon a purchase can now be deactivated
- Shop: Improved "give away" and display in postbit/profile
- Shop: Set if points from purchased products should be substracted
- Shop: Transactions in AdminCP are now paged
- Shop: Categories have now an icon and a description
- Shop: Description of Costfield in AdminCP with default value if translation is empty
- Fixed unchached templates
- CDP: New revision of CDP to support Earn Points
- CDP: All addons have been upgraded to support "Earn Points"
- Added row breaker for profile shop items
- Minor fixes and changes

Well, the way I believe it is, when you buy a Gold or Elite user package, it doesn't automatically change it. It just tells CC or lbp that, "hey, someone bought this!"

As such, the new info is updated manually. So, if you sell it, it will tell CC or lbp that it was sold (maybe). Thus, they have to manually change it.

If you sell it, it won't automatically change- it will merely tell CC to change your settings in the Admin CP. Thus, if you buy a new user right away, then CC or lbp will just edit the fields to fit your new status.

As is my understanding.

Nope, you won't. Since it's done manually, I will remove you from your old usergroup at the same time as I add you to the new one, so you won't feel a thing, usually.

Social Groups (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/group.php) are groups you can form within the site, and invite others to as well. It's like a private corner for a group of members.

Click on quick links in the upper right, and choose social groups from up there.

You gain points by being in social groups, though you gain more for having people join yours- as demonstarted by LittleBigGiant having the best score for social groups despite never using it, he only has them for the 60 people who joined his PS3 owner's association =_=.

Perhaps you can if you buy an item and gift it the recipiant could get the xp from selling it.

Guess so, give somebody a gift, then they can trade it for 75%.
Should be changed so you can't trade in gifts (unless you've already thought of that )

Trading in gifts is fine, in my opinion. If you get a gift you don't want, for example, how would you get rid of it?

As of now, there's no way to give xp directly, but I'd be happy to add an item to the shop so you can "buy" xp to give to someone else. Would you guys use that at all?

I'm sure some people would, I've seen a few users attempting to organise contests with xp prizes.

There is no per-item option for resale value, so instead I am notified each time someone sells something. If I notice anyone has sold an item that shouldn't be (such as a username change or custom avatar), I will simply deduct the full price (along with the 25% loss) from their xp anyway. So, basically, don't do it.


This is a nice upgrade. Although, when I saw it, I was hoping we'd get to keep our level after buying something. Oh well.
Another annoying niggle. There is an option to retain XP after purchase, but that means anyone could buy anything an infinite number of times. For some reason the original author didn't add an option for retaining rank only.

So if we have already, done plenty of things in social groups... such as creating them, having members join, posting in them, adding pictures to them etc. but have done it previous to this will it count? (most likely not because CC would have to manually do it himself)

Well, sort of, yes. Support has been massively improved since then.

And, yes, all new experience calculations are retroactive.

I looked into it, but there is no way to do it without a complicated process of buying the item, gifting it, and ensuring both the giver and the reciever PM me about the transaction. At the moment, it's much easier to just get in touch with me and arrange xp to be given away through a contest than it would be to buy it through the shop. Future versions of vbExperience will allow for users to send xp to others (according to the developer), but as of not it's not supported. Sorry guys.

Activity is based on your posts per day compared with the forum's average posts per day. It has nothing to do with spent xp.
