Hullooo again everyone! This is the second of the special contests being held as part of the celebrations for the 100th episode this week! This time I am joining forces with the awesome Contest Crew to stage a three part contest which will test your level exploring, playing and scavenger hunting skills to the max! Once again we are offering Special Prizes for the winners! So without further ado I'll hand over to Omega to explain the rules

The Information Desk

http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/image.php?u=1752&dateline=1351169290

How does this work?

So guys...after all the times you've been here, I want you to prove me how tough you are and how well you put to good use all the hard work the Spotlight Crew did for your enjoyment.
I want to see how badass you are, but being cool is something you achieve only being awesome in more than one skill.
I want to see how fast your brain cogs work to solve shady clues, I want you to prove me that your mind is as quick as your eyes and I want you to show me how your hands can perform incredible tasks.
So there will be 3 different challenges that will await you.
So, if you want to prove your might and get a nice reward, you must work hard.
I created a scoring system that will award only the ones of you that are more consistent.

How do I enter?

Each round will have its own entry requirements and rules explained separately when it is launched. There will also be an entry form for each round for you to fill in and return to us. When you've completed all 3 rounds, send the three forms via pm to Hubbie by midnight GMT on Sunday 30th December. Please send ALL 3 FORMS IN ONE SINGLE PM at the end of the contest. Your answers will be checked by the spotlight and contest crews, scored in accordance with the system explained below and the results posted as soon as we can manage, what with all the mince pies and partying to be done.

Again, answers in a SINGLE PM containing all the forms, multiple PMs won't be considered for the final score.

Scoring system

Ready for some maths?
Without spoiling the rules of each challenge in advance, I can spill that the first 2 challenges will require you to do a certain number of tasks.
For each SINGLE task you complete and prove, you'll get 1 (ONE) point.
Completing a challenge will net you 3 (THREE) additional points as a bonus to your efforts.
These points will be used as a multiplier for the score you'll get in the 3rd challenge.
So the final score will be determined by the points you net in challenge 1, let's call it "x", plus the points you acquire in challenge 2, let's call it "y", then multiplied by the score you gain in challenge 3, let's call it "z"

The final formula is
(x+y)*z

So you got some pretty easy maths that can lead to unexpected results.

What Prizes are available?

There are three prizes up for grabs, as detailed below. The winners will be asked to choose their prize from the list, with 1st place taking first choice, 2nd place second choice, and so on, until all three prizes are claimed.

As well as the prizes detailed below, the 1st Place winner will be awarded with the LBPCentral Contest Winner Pin!

Prizes:

One Year Subscription to PS Plus
PSN Card: ( ?35 / $50 / €40 )
PSN Card: ( ?25 / $40 / €20 )

NB: The amounts listed for the PSN cards are so calculated to attempt to be as fair to those from differing countries as we can. We hope that they should work out to be about equal in value when redeemed in the PSN Store.

When is the deadline?

Midnight on Sunday 30th December 2012. Any entries received after this point will not be eligible for the competition. Sorry about that, but it has to end at some point.

Round One: Where's Hubbie?

http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m489/psnrialrees/observer.png

All the 100th Episode shenanigans have gone to Hubbie's head a bit and he disappeared off on a spree of his own through various spotlighted levels. He can't resist snapping himself, though, so he's left us a trail of photos to show where he went in his wanderings. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to trace Hubbie's path and tell us which levels he visited and take a photo of yourself in the same location. Some of them will be a little tricky to find, so slap on your explorer's hat and get hunting!

Below, you will see Hubbie's photo album containing all his favourite snaps. Click on it to see the photos. We need to know which level each photo was taken in and for you to give us a link to a photo of yourself in the same spot.

Entrants will score one point for each answer they get correct (i.e. both level name and photo must be correct to score one point).

Click on the photo above to access the album

How do I enter?

Copy the answer sheet below and fill it in with your answers, including links to the photographs. As we said, we want you to submit the answers to all 3 rounds in one go at the end of the contest so hang on to your answer sheet and submit it with the answers to rounds 2 and 3 by PM to Hubbie by the deadline of 30th December.

To clarify: we do NOT want you to upload the photos in game before the deadline because that would give too much away to other people. Just take the photo and export it to your hard drive. You'll then be able to upload it to a photo hosting site and send us a link to it there.

Please keep copies of your photographs in-game as we may require them to be uploaded to lbp.me after the deadline. This is a small precaution to avoid any possibility of photoshopping shenanigans! Not that any of you would stoop that low, of course, but still.

I recognise a couple of them, and there's a few that look vaguely familiar. Tough one... Nice idea for a contest!2012-12-10 12:02:00

Wow... that is so cool and so evil at the same time.

Good luck to all that attempt that. I recognize a few... others not so much!

What I want to stress is that even if you don't find every single pic, it's worth to try entering the contest anyway.
This first phase, together with the second (up in a few days) will give you points that will be used as multiplier for the third phase, so, everything is possible

Yeah it would be so nice to see some of the Veteran LBPC'ers entering this, even if just for fun. Anyway who else is going to recognise those LBP1 levels in the album?

EDIT: Also how awesome would it be to see julesyjules, CCubbage and fullofwin go head to head? You could always donate the prize to a worthy candidate if you have qualms about winning...

I've never been too good at math.

in chrome, if you right click and select "open image in new tab" it will be a little bigger. OR you can press "ctrl +" and zoom in
In Firefox, right click image and select "view image," a box will pop up asking to save it. go ahead and save it to wherever, and then open it from your PC. OR you can press "Ctrl +" and zoom in, "Ctrl -" to zoom out.
In Internet Explorer, Bawhahahahaha! IE!? Uninstall this garbage and install Chrome.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway...
Not all these photos were taken especially for this contest. Hubbie has always liked snapping himself in spotlighted levels...
Just saying...

OK extra clue no. 2. Here's another picture of the level in Photo no. 3 in the album. Ring any more bells?

Any form of devilish research is allowed. You could even try using all (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/search.php) sorts (http://spotlight.lbpcentral.com/) of search (www.google.com) engines (lbp.me). . .

If you wanted to

And I think that might be the kind of thing that Omega's post in red above was hinting at... Although Fireblitz is right too, as on the whole Hubbie did cover his tracks. He just might have got careless in one or two cases.

Also, remember that even a 2x multiplier from knowing two pictures will help in boosting your score in the final round and if everyone is finding these difficult, then most people will just end up with a similar multiplier to yours, so it's all good.

Lol, then you'll have to close your eyes tight shut when you try and replicate that picture! Hubbie's just showing off in that one. 2012-12-14 01:20:00

Extra Clue No. 3 (and eep, second double post of the day, sorry, Lady!)

Rumour has it that every one of the 4 LBP1 levels featured in the album can be found using the lbp.me List of my favourite LBP1 levels...

Well, that should help narrow it down to a mere 40* levels, then *cough*

* Well a bit more than 40 if you count the level series...
