Slowdown issue...

Needless to say, The Metroid track is busy; there is just a lot going on at once in some spots. I have noticed that, during play mode while in creation on my moon, I am hitting some spots on the track where some lagging and slowdown occur. Is this because I am still in create mode? Will it probably go away when I publish? It isn't track-breaking, but it is noticeable.2012-12-08 21:57:00

I don't think it will go away only because the game has to load everything so fast. If it takes awhile for it to process what's on the screen at any given time, there will be slowdown in the game play. I've been having this same problem since I have smoke and lights everywhere in my next track. I had to cut back, especially when it came to weapons being used as multiple lights reflecting off of them caused massive slowdown.

Chances are you won't have to delete anything if there's only slowdown in certain areas. Some rearranging should work.

Rearranging is all I did, and it worked. Also, I somehow had some custom walls (the big green blocks) set to dynamic, so I think that was affecting it as well – and it was also making it to where a couple of missiles would cover my track in fallen obstacles. lol

What is your next track? A Lively Hive was incredible. You should give us a sneak preview in another thread.
