LBP Police

Hello, community. Lbp community protest is a group I want to become official in some way. But I can't get started without your help. This is my plan...

1)MM: can place a stamp on levels indicating who the original creator is. That way the community is more informed about what they are playing.

2) How to recognize Supporters: they will have the dove shirt on from the Earth peace day costume- which is free... They can make costumes ... As long as they have the dove shirt. Supporters will have a lbpp support sticker as their avatar or on their costume. So that MM can see all the supporters and decide if they want to do something in respect.

3) if you have ideas on how to improve the system please contact me at j-550_@hotmail.com. I will consider your message.

4) I am the creator of this plan: Tom-550_.

5) This is all voluntary. That's all and I hope you have a nice day. Bye. All the people here giving me advice, will get credit for contributing. Plan CANCELED.

I'm sorry, but what? We can't get rid of people who copy levels, it's play, create, share. And sharing levels is also copying. It's been that way and it will always be. LBP is LBP. They will just die off on ther own2012-12-08 21:33:00

No, I meant people who COPY levels just to get recognized. Just like LatinPlayer.

EDIT:

But thanks for the clarification

I just have this mental image of LBP Vigilantes dressing up like Superheroes, then hopping online party to online party punishing wrong doers. But with like... No actual superpowers or authority. I made myself lol.

Also, I lol'd at 'Get rid of Latinplayers'
Cause as we all know - all Latin gamers are buttholes.
I know that wasn't what the OP meant, but that's how I read it.

Right, responding seriously, now -
It just sounds to me like you want both harsher Moderation of the online elements of the game, accompanied by a mass attitude change in the community regarding a few things, such as copied levels.
The problem here, is that it's simply far too unrealistic to moderate every single copied level that comes along.
While I think we all wish copied levels weren't a problem, we can't just remove the feature altogether, for no reason.
The best thing to ask for there, is a feature where the original creator of the level has their ID permanently stamped on the levels information, and the game refuses to allow people to re-upload the level if it was copied.
However, that still causes problems where people want to use the Copyable option for legitimate reasons.

I don't get why you specifically focused on Justin Beiber - there are plenty of stupid trends that show up all the time.

Also, you're on the internet, get used to people using inappropriate language. Sony already has a poorly made curse filter on the PS3 which stops bad language from appearing most of the time.
While I'm all for reporting abusive individuals, cursing itself is perfectly fine. If you can't handle a few curse words, you're on the wrong internet.

I've learned that it is impossible to change the community in anyway. I know it's hard to hear but it's the truth. The community is what you make it, that's why I hang out here and play with people on LBPC.2012-12-08 22:45:00

I guess I am taking it too seriously... Thanks for the advice. Like Martha Stewert(?) said, you are the change you wish to see in the world.2012-12-08 22:52:00

Just curious... why do we care about what Latin_player and whoever mimics him does? The only way you would notice any of this is if you watch (wait for it) the cool pages!! lol

This is why this site exists. We really have no need for the cool pages. We have our level showcase to help each other get better with tons of feedback as well as a nifty LBPC Community Spotlight to showcase the ones that knock them outta the park.

Cool levels, or as I like to think of it, Kiddie world, is for those that love doing whatever they want to do. Bombing this, belching that, shark bites and copied levels to boot.

Basically you are wanting to police 3 - 8 year olds and whatever they feel like doing.. even if it is horrible to our tastes in levels. Remember that this is an E for everyone game and 3 year old's play this game. Shocking to you possibly, but they do.

The tools already exist to report levels that fall outside the community guidelines. Perhaps Sony is a bit slow on those at times, but oh well.. their game.

You possibly have noble intent, but you are the one in charge of what you propose. Something that no one person should ever be in charge of.. and regardless, you would never get the tools needed to do what you propose. i.e. You don't work for Sony and are not a mod.

Do you think my plan is more reasonable and better now?

Not sure there is much left of you plan except wishing folks wear a costume to show support for you as a leader of something. The only other thing you request is a software change to a game Mm has pretty much left over to Sony... Wanting them to stamp some multi million levels with the original creator somehow? I don't see how that will happen.

Again...I don't really see the point of your plan.

I think once you get used to our site and see the power of our level showcase, you will find that everyone here is truly supportive of original and creative level creators. ..and anyone is welcome to join.

If you have any questions.. feel free to drop me a note.
