Custom Weapon Pickup Device

Can this be done? I thought it could, but I'm not figuring out how. I know how to make a custom weapon, but I want to make a custom logo for the pickup devices. : | 2012-12-08 05:32:00 Author: Wigriff Posts: 118 |
Do you mean the HUD or the object? I think we might be missing (I could be the one missing this) something. We have the option to add a sticker as part of our HUD, it even lets us select it in the HUD tweaker. What it does not do is allow us to select a sticker. Suggesting they missed that part or something went wrong. Unless there is another use for it, I think that might be a bug. It's not controlled from the HUD gadget. You select the sticker by hovering over the sticker circle with the HUD cursor and opening the tweak menu. The Mario recreations have a floating cube as a weapon pickup, if that's what you mean. | 2012-12-08 13:58:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |

Well, TheAdipose makes custom boosters in his tutorial by placing the regular booster just under the surface and placing an arrow on the surface above it. That should work for weapons as well. How do I actually make something into a sticker, though? How did those guys who did the level recreations of Mario Kart make the question boxes? I tried the same method that TheAdipose outlined with the boosters, and it doesn't work for the weapon pickups. I am furiously navigating the menus trying to figure this out. lol Nevermind. I just got Mojooks weapon pack. I see how he did it... sort of. He didn't make a custom weapon pickup. if you get his rainbow road track too you can see how he does the logic. He has quite a lot in there for a simple 'pick up'. I was having a play earlier using the powerup tweaker - using logic in the spawn in automatically arm the kart with a certain weapon when various conditions are met. Yeah. That's just entirely too much trouble for what I wanted to do. Plus, his pickup boxes are made of holograms. The icon I made for the weapon pickup is far too complex to be made out of colored pieces of holograms. It would end up looking awful. *shrug* I'll just use the stock weapon pickups.
