Well, I find for myself it takes a long time to learn all the ins and outs of create mode, including it's advanced tricks.

A friend of mine who does not own the game was interested in creating, but I was building a lot faster than him. So what we did was he created some paper schematics of what he wanted, and watched in create mode pointing out what needed to be changed. We had two controllers going so he could still do stuff, it's just fine details like fiddling with grid or complex magnetic key systems would have taken him a while to learn.

That's how my TSR - Three Stage Rocket came about. It was initially a two stage rocket suggested from my friend, which was a variation of a basic one stage rocket I showed him.

So you might not have friends in real life interested in joining you and helping in detail in create mode, but you might have some that have some interesting design ideas or suggestions that you can develop.

People can write stories, do art work, engineering designs... you don't have to know all fields or be an expert creator to make suggestions.

If you were to build online, people would not have the same vision you would have, and they could potentially mess it all up, you will spend nearly as much time trying to ask them to do stuff as you could be creating it yourself and most likely more efficiantly unless they are really good with the corner editor

Cheers!

I actually suggested somewhere once though, (provided they're your friends and not total strangers) that you could draw a plan on paper and use the camera stickers to post them online so everyone can see what they need to do.

Oh, and speaking of online create, this is probably going to be the must-have microphone bit of the PS3 that'll make me buy one.

I'donly create with my friends online, and I'd be on mic, and speak beforehand about what we wanted done.2009-01-18 11:20:00

Images = 1000 words.

Images = up to ???? as a masterpiece.

Word = ?1?

We should stop talking then. Maybe that's why there's a credit crunch?

But yeah, 10 minutes making a mental sketch, or two minutes explaining a visual aid?

Also, you could hold the sticker's preview to stream a video cam! So you can point details out as you talk!

Wow! Now that's clever! :hero:
