Shaking Objects

Archive: 7 posts

Is there a way to make an object shake violently? I think I've seen it done somewhere across LBP, but I can't remember and I'm not entirely sure; maybe it was a Story Level? Anyway, help is appreciated!2012-12-06 05:18:00

:O Love you Buddy!

Link the first output of a selector to the second input, and the second output to the first input. This will make the selector switch between outputs really quickly. Then link both outputs to the inputs of a direction combiner, and link the direction combiner to either the left/right or up/down input of an advanced mover. Tweak the acceleration or speed values to get the desired shaky-ness.

Hope this helps, Boodiekums.

Maybe try getting a hover chip (search it and something should pop up.) it consists of two movers (one up, one down) a selector that switches between the two and a timer that cycles the selector. Make the movers move very fast (higher number) yet have the timer be short (like 0.2 should work.) if that doesnt work maybe just a shaky camera?2012-12-10 20:35:00

alternatively you could just connect the object to something with a piston... then set that to expand and contract quickly.

not everything has to be done with complex logic

Fixed it for you. Although what I said should work.
