I'm trying to get a "magic light" source to remain at a fixed height above a dynamic object which rolls and bounces as it moves. The light source should stay pointing down on the object, track the object when the object moves, remain exactly vertical relative to the object, and not rotate. The object should move independently of the light source. The object can be picked up and thrown. Someone please tell me how!! I've tried gyroscopes, physics tweakers, look-at-motors, I can't figure it out.

I'm getting some results with the Magnet gadget, though it's moving around rather wildly still. I've got a Magnet set to purple, and a purple tag on the object that's following me, and I used a tweaker to make the object weightless and frictionless. I'll try and update if I make any progress.
