My favourite is Robin Hobb. A few other greats are Jonathan Stroud, Terry Goodkind, Raymond E. Feist, Philip Pullman, Philip Reeve... I could go on for quite a while, I have no concrete favourites other than Hobb. Reading "The Baker's Boy" by J.V Jones at the minute and it's amazing. | 2009-01-17 20:18:00 Author: Burrich ![]() Posts: 1018 |

Phillip Reeve (Mortal Engines) Phillip Pullman (His Dark Materials series) You should try Jonathan Stroud's Bartimaeus Trilogy, I think you'd like it. The first book is called "The Amulet of Samarkand". | 2009-01-17 21:23:00 Author: Burrich ![]() Posts: 1018 |

Douglas Adams, George R.R Martin (Song of Ice and Fire, Check it out!), Stephen King, Terry Pratchett, Niel Gaiman, Philip K. ****, Tove Jansson Edit: Not for nothing, but maybe the censoring mechanisms are a bit draconian... I'm unable to post Philip's Name (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_K_****) Re Edit: Oh come on! It even censors the url?! | 2009-01-20 19:39:00 Author: Morrinn3 ![]() Posts: 493 |

No favorites but Dean Koontz has written some pretty knarly yarns...... | 2009-01-21 01:59:00 Author: mrjoeyman ![]() Posts: 217 |
what is it that it is blocking 0.o It was blocking Philip K. D's last name which is... Well, I cant say it now can I? Richard Nixon was called "Tricky ****". **** Tracy is a famous fictional P.I. And private Investigators were often referred to as "Snoops" or "*****". I don't mind censoring profanity (at least not here), but when its this automated it can often lead to some humorous annoyances. No favorites but Dean Koontz has written some pretty knarly yarns...... I loved Odd Thomas (Just finished reading those a while back). The first book in those novellas was cool, but all the subsequent stories were a bit rubbish. Koontsz has a habit of writing a plot right into the grave. | 2009-01-21 03:06:00 Author: Morrinn3 ![]() Posts: 493 |
