Object flickering...

Archive: 5 posts

Has anyone had an issue with objects flickering? I have built several objects out of really thin layers of different colored material. They operate and look fine in my workshop, but some of them flicker when I place them on my track. Could it possibly be the lighting? Or maybe the fact that I build things large and then scale them down? I just don't understand why they look fine, even scaled, before I put them on the track... and not all items do this. *shrug*

EDIT:

I think it is because of the thin layering. Ugh. Rebuild time for a couple of things. lol

It may be due to thin objects but it you have done any object cloning then it wouldn't be bad to check and see if you accidentally placed the same object out twice. I had an issue with this in Tree Top Trouble and realized that some of the trees had been set out twice in the same spot. Not sure if it was a bug that placed them out twice or if I just got trigger happy with cloning a few times.

It could also be a bug with thin objects, but it wouldn't hurt to see if the same object was placed out twice in the same spot.

I have come to the conclusion that it was just because I was making paper thin sprites. Not a big deal, fortunately; I can easily remake the objects that I was having the problem with. Thanks for the reply, though. 2012-12-03 01:16:00
