Tell me it isn't so? I tried and it doesn't work. Why did they remove this??

It isn't so It gets tricky sometimes, like a bug of sorts almost. But you can decorate it. keep going at it. Maybe reload the level (after saving!!) or move the scoreboard to a location without interference from other readable objects (including terrain). And then place it where you wanted it. Oh and remember the 3D gets confusing too, sometimes when it looks like you're on an object you actually are away from it. Be sure to make sure the sticker is touching the score board and not hovering away from it while looking like it's there due to depth and angle.

You say I can decorate it. I don't know if you're using that term generically. Are you saying that stickers can be applied as well as decorations?

Yep, I've stickered my scoreboard OK. Although, I did place an animated propeller sticker on a scoreboard and the sticker remained visible during the race (when the scoreboard should be invisible). Interesting.
