HD PVR recording LBP

Archive: 2 posts

Hi Guys,

I imagine that this is in the wrong section, and I apologies in advance. Could one of the Moderators move it if needs be? Thanks you

So on to the question.

I recently bought an HD PVR 2 and wanted to record LittleBigPlanet audio and voice chat. However, after recording, I watch the video back and the audio is much louder than my friends voice. I know that I can not record my voice using the PVR, and I have other ways of doing that, but is there a way to increase voice chat over audio after recording?

Also, because I use a headset and to record friends voices it has to be set up so the output in outputting through the TV (or System Default) and the input through the headset. However, when playing, I can't hear very well, nor increase on it's own my friends voice without having to increase the game audio as well making it impossibly loud.

I hope this post is not in any way an infringement on LBPC rules and hopefully it can be moved if it is not in the correct section.

Any help is appreciated and I thank you all in advance. <3

All the best,

Liam

In the old Creator Spotlight videos, we always used Skype and a utility that would record Skype conversations via a pc that I was also using to capture the HD PVR 2. The hard part with that is that you had to sync the voice and video... so I did this 1, 2, 3 JUMP and jump with my sack boy character.

Then upon editing the editor was able to drag the video and audio timelines to sync as well as boost the volume of the conversations separately from the game audio that was part of the video.

I have a gaming headset that I would use with the pc, and a bluetooth headset that I used to make the mouths move. I can't remember the options offhand, but I didn't have the chat go through the tv,just to the bluetooth headset. That way, the game sounds and voices are totally independent.

The only hard thing is insuring the others on the conversation are on the same level as you by boosting or lowering mics, otherwise it ends up to be an editing / volume fader nightmare.

Here is a link to one of my many favorites we did...

Hope this helps!
