[Level Creation Help] In game menu

Archive: 3 posts

Hello Sackboys and Sackgirls,

I'm in the middle of trying to create a level similar to the online game "Interactive Buddy". The level will be more of a pet sackboy and will work like a tomagotchi. I need help with creating a computer like selection menu, just like the one used in Fabix's Windows Vita Professional problem. The only thing that I am facing is the fact that my notes will not show up after they are emitted. The options are set to show text only in play mode. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Any sort of help will be appreciated.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong Mike. I seem to recall Notes also failing to show up when emitted back in LBP2 - probably an issue which has made the transition as well...

Is there any way you can always have every note in place, and then only activate them when you need them to show up? This sadly the best workaround I can think of

That's odd, because I know I've emitted notes and they've shown up.

If what Slaeden-Bob is saying isn't happening, the most likely canidate is either the show note tweaker (I kind of doubt that, as it wouldn't show in craete mode either) or visibility that's further down the tweak list. You'll want to set that visibility to show text, if you haven't already. It is confusing, as it still shows in preview even if it's not on show text in play.

Otherwise, I really don't have an answer for you. Remake the notes and try again?
