I have a vita!

Archive: 11 posts

I wasn't sure if i'd post this in the PSP section or here. But i thought: its about the Vita, and i should post it here.

I bought a vita with LBP Vita! I love the game already, but create mode seems complicated.
Mostly because i've used the simple PSP version before.

Also, since it is secondhand, there's already a PSN on it. Which has a really stupid name. Can i still change my PSN?

You have to reset to factory settings meaning you lose all your data and games that are digital. I believe it is in settings maybe under system.2012-11-24 21:34:00

Congratulations on joining the Vita community!

Create mode seems complex at first, but there are so many more cool and creative things you can do that I promise it's worthwhile to learn. If you ever need help, be sure to post questions in the help section!

And about the PSN on it, kontonaugust is exactly right. If you want to change the PSN account associated with the Vita, you have to completely reset it. I'm sure there are tutorials online for you. Since you won't have the same PSN, you will not have access to the other accounts digital downloads (both games and DLC).

Well, in that case I think you are out of luck, unless you want to rebuy the game. Sorry about that.2012-11-25 20:18:00

...

Of course i don't want to rebuy the game. I've sent Sony a mail to get help, i hope it's going to do anything because i REALLY don't want to be stuck with a name like WhitewidowNL...

You'll have to cough up for a new copy of LBPV then!
Sony could easily lock the account and cause a new password to be required (like when they got hacked) and then you'd be forced into doing so meaning you'd potentially lose anything you made in create etc.
Personally I'd say you're better off abandoning ship on it and getting it set up with your own PSN and games you own (might as well buy hard copies so you can keep them seperated from your PSN ID though)

OK! *sigh*... LBPV is kind of expensive. I'm saving up (so that i have some money) and i don't want to do all that. But maybe i have to do that..2012-11-26 09:02:00

Resetting to factory settings doesn't wipe the memory card, it just wipes the small internal memory that PSV comes with, this is the part that contains your PSN information. I had to reset my system because of a small bug and all my data was totally fine. If you are worried you could always take your memory card out first just to be sure.2012-12-04 19:39:00

I did that, but then to access the memory card i had to format it since i was on my PSN Woutery. Anyways, i re-bought the game!2012-12-05 07:21:00

I have been assimilated!!

I now have a Vita and just starting to play LBPv !! Quite cute! Just got it last night and playing it a bit here and there between other things that I need to do. I never thought I would say this, but I like it quite a bit.

Great job team! (who are mostly good friends)
