Paper Plane Toss
Archive: 3 posts
Hey all, Basically I'm working on a level similar to the old Kitten Cannon game where you try to get an optimum launch power and angle to get as great a distance as you can, even more similar to a game called Flight (http://armorgames.com/play/7598/flight) where you actually throw and control a paper airplane but without the upgrades and leveling up. So far I have a paper airplane prototype that I'm fairly happy with physics wise. I no doubt will be it tweaking many times over until I am finished with the level though. That said, I would like to find a way to keep the plane stationary and have the surroundings move past it but still keep the paper planey feel, something that may not be easy since its speed is a big factor in how it works. As for the rest of the level I am just going out of my head with all the different options of styles, obstacles and boosts to use so nothing is really too set in stone. Some obstacles I was thinking of were cats, birds, sprinklers and some boosts could be fans, pinwheels, tornadoes (or should that be an obstacle?). I can't play for a while so I'm going stir crazy only brainstorming and not being able to get working on it. I just got LBP2 but I used to play LBP1 a lot, even joined these forums briefly before I quit playing. Quite frankly I'm astounded by how many new tools have been added and am still figuring out how useful they can be. Any comments, ideas, or suggestions would be appreciated. | 2012-11-24 06:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
I like the idea, sounds like a very fun concept. I remember being such a thing in one of the Mario Party games. It was really fun. | 2012-11-24 17:37:00 Author: bluearth Posts: 100 |
My first level was a Top Down Destroy a City, and you were in the Paper Aeroplane. This does sound like a nice concept | 2012-11-25 20:21:00 Author: Awesome_Guy Posts: 167 |
