Piston / logic problem

I have a simple setup. I have a wall that goes across the track. It starts below the track. It is attached to a piston. I have a button PAST the wall. I want a player to hit the button causing the wall to raise and immediately lower, 1 cycle in other words. The problem is this. The wall starts beneath the track so when the button is crossed the wall raises and lowers quickly trapping any followers for 1 second.

When the button is pressed the first time, the wall raises and stops. If you run over the button again it works like it should going down and up. In other words, the first button press the piston does 1/2 a cycle only rasing the wall, but each subsequent press, the piston does a full cycle.

Why does it only work correctly after the 2nd button press?

The piston is set to single cycle.

It's because of how you set it up I think. In lbp 2 I had that problem occasionally and it was because it was set up in the middle of a cycle. I dont know how or why. I figured once you put it down it should be at the start of the cycle automatically. So when the button is pressed the first time it is only completing the first cycle. You might need to delete the piston and start over or tweak the settings or maybe if its above move the item move it below it. Like I said though this is my thoughts from lbp2 so I might be wrong.2012-11-21 18:49:00

Try hooking the button up to a timer, then hook the timer up to the piston. Tweak the timer to "countdown" and set the time to how ever long it takes the piston to do the full cycle. Set the same time to the piston itself.

That should work.
