Greetings all I'd like to start a semi regular video series on my youtube channel called Karting Korner. This will include video reviews of levels as well as promotion for whatever else is going on in LBPK at the moment. This means I would like people to submit their levels for review in this thread. However, this is not a complete open invite so let me make some points about this offer. * This video will include footage of your level. This will help you promote your level. Hurrah. * I am reviewing your level, not just filming it, so if I have suggestions for improvements - I will include them. * I am doing this for fun.... but also to promote my youtube channel * If I take the time to do a video review of your level.... I expect you to add the video to your level post in the other forum. * I will be positive about all levels, but if I do point out bugs, problems and suggestions for improvement, then I still expect you to add my video link to your level thread. * My youtube videos are my property, so by submitting your level here you are giving me permission to use footage from your level in this video * You are welcome to post the video anywhere you wish to promote your level * The videos will contain more than one level so you if you wish you can instruct people to FFWD to the right section (and I will try and put annotations in the vid to FFWD too) * My vids have advertising...deal with it. This means I make at least 50p a month. This is my 50p. Mine. MINE! * I expect to do about 5 levels per show * If I receive more than 5 submissions I will choose the levels/individuals that I feel are the most deserving of a free video ** factors I will be looking when choosing are.... Is your level something you've spent time on? Is the level buggy/borken? Does it have its own forum thread? Have you written a full description of your level? Have you included decent screenshots? Are you active on these forums? Does your level have something special/new about it? * I expect lots of 'thank you's and love for filming your levels So please read and understand all the above before submitting your level to the Karting Korner. Don't worry, my aim isnt to give bad reviews. I wanna give good reviews and help people promote their levels. I just don't want people asking me to review something half built thats bugged as hell. As long as I can see the level is quality then of course I'm going to be positive about it.

I can't believe that no one has taken TheAdipose up on this! This is an incredible service! Don't worry about his criticism to a level because it is all constructive. He is only trying to help. Watch his video for my level, sure, he says things he would like changed, but he also says a lot of very nice things too. And remember, if he records your level then even people without the game can appreciate your creation. The video he made for me currently has more plays than my level in-game does ;-) Thanks so much for doing this Adi!

Dfw, I've tweaked the opening post to make it clearer about 'bad reviews'. Thanks for the support Mr Poo and Yugnar. I've had a couple of people approach me in PM about their levels so I will include them in the first episode. TheAdipose: Not only would I love to take you up on your offer of submitting The Metroid track to you for review after it is finally complete, I would also like to offer to promote your YouTube channel on my website if you like. You can check it out if you want (www.JCWigriff.com). What I was thinking about doing was getting some snapshots from everyone's best levels, then making an article outlining some of the best custom tracks on LBPK. I could plug your YouTube channel in it, and also put a link somewhere on the site to send people there in the future (probably in the links and partners section.) Tell me what you think. I don't have anything complete and ready for reviews quite yet, but what do you use for your video capturing? I imagine you do a mic overlay after the fact but I'm curious as to how you get your videos as clear as you do. Everything I've tried always ends up blurry :|

Adipose, I have finished my second level, Mushroom Battle Arena. Please consider reviewing it in Karting Korner. I have familiarity and confidence with building racetracks, but battle arenas are a whole different beast. I really have no idea what makes a good battle arena, and will be very receptive to any criticism on battle arenas. remy, i'd rather do your clive level - i think its more ground breaking. IVo, I use a HDPVR2 which wasn't cheap. And yes I record vocals afterwards. I could record at the same time with no loss of sound quality but I'd probably talk rubbish and have to overdub anyway. I dont wanna be one of those youtubers who just says errrr ummmm and laughs a lot during the vids. Manny, ok i'll take a look. I dont really like battlemodes though.. I dont really see where the strategy is. Maybe ill do a feature on what makes a good battle arena and ask for comments. adi
