The AMAZING Customize Character options
Archive: 8 posts
Here's hoping that one day we get to share a couple of these costume pieces across LittleBigPlanet games. Just the "Head" options alone make me weep with happiness. I feel LittleBigPlanet Karting also has some of the best Skin Materials we've ever seen a LittleBigPlanet game so far. Your opinions? | 2012-11-21 07:59:00 Author: Night Angel Posts: 1214 |
The new costumes definitely are amazing, but there are two things that have been bothering me to no end: none of the costume pieces glow, and the sticker system sucks. For example, the glowing white eyes? Nope. The Mr. Moon cape? There's no glowing solar system on the inside. Oh, and don't even get me started on how stickers work on objects, Sackboy, and your kart. | 2012-11-21 12:05:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |
i agree . I love the costumes in this game. And sadly stickers are kind of useless on Sackboy and his Kart. | 2012-11-21 12:30:00 Author: Unknown User |
Yeah, the stickers are a real downer and the lack of costume animations are probably due to the frame-intensive gameplay of the game itself. Maybe if they're transferrable sometime in the future, we'll see some cool animations. | 2012-11-21 22:42:00 Author: Night Angel Posts: 1214 |
This may be a dumb question, or something already answered, but the game doesn't come out here in Japan for another 2 months, so... i thought costumes were something that transferred between games. while the animations may be limited in LBPK (the glowing bits Super Clone mentioned, f'rex), couldn't you just sticker/decorate up a costume in LBP2, and have it on your profile for LBPK? | 2012-11-22 10:58:00 Author: waffleking23 Posts: 535 |
They're transferring the costumes from DLC that you buy or bought. You don't get the costumes you made yourself. | 2012-11-22 11:25:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
They're transferring the costumes from DLC that you buy or bought. You don't get the costumes you made yourself. Ah hah...i hadn't twigged to that part...hrmm...that is a bit of a pickle, i've been playing about with costuming for a LBP2 stage i'm working on now...i've got a fair handful of fun costumes out of the deal, but...if they're non-transferable, they'll prolly not get LBPK play (not so much for the stickers, as for the decorations). Ah well... i can always use my self-analog costume, sans the tattoos, alas. | 2012-11-23 01:16:00 Author: waffleking23 Posts: 535 |
I've noticed some LBP2 costumes that animate don't have this effect in LBPK. For instance, the clockwork costume in LBP2 has clearly moving cogs on the skin surface but not in LBPK. The Mr Moon costume and the Cordlass costume don't glow as mentioned above. I'm not too worried about this. I got the red racer costume and kart form a preoder and the costume is useable in LBP2, as are the Kevin Butler and United Front costumes! However, the racer cosutme is red in LBPK and changes in LBP2 to match your popit colour. I wonder what will happen with costumes that react to emotion though. For instance, the peacock costume (came out during LBP1) lifts it's tail when you go "happy" and lowers it for all other emotions and Wolverine pops his claws when you get "angry." Time will tell! | 2012-11-23 04:59:00 Author: aratiatia Posts: 374 |
