I've heard of people getting this "Welcome Back Unicorn Costume" and was just wondering exactly how you get it as I didn't...

It said I got it for having played other LBP games before, the first time I entered my pod. I assume it checks your PS3 for other LBP game saves.

Mine was the same as Rogar. It just pops up, you don't have to do anything extra. I have LBP2 disc... and digital...and LBP1 disc...and digital.. so I'm probably covered :o

I have both physical and digital versions of LBP 1&2 as well and all I get it the cross-buy popup? Tried even deleting my LBPK data and starting over and still can't receive this "Welcome Back" costume?

Hmmm... I assume you have your LBP game saves. Do you still have your LBP1/LBP2 installed game data, too? Maybe that's what it looks for then.

Yes I have the game data and profile data still on my PS3... I even have the Karting Beta data and profile information still on my PS3 also!

Try playing either LBP or LBP2 for an realistic hour then go back to LBPK, see if that does anything.

Yes everything is the same region... I believe what the problem was that once I downloaded the digital versions of LBP 1&2 I deleted the stored information from the Game Utility folder and because the digital versions don't have a folder there then maybe when I loaded up LBPK it wasn't able to see that I did in fact have the previous LBP games! Either way I now have it even though I will never use it...

Chris: I have the same issue. I played both LBP 1 and 2 extensively, and LBP Karting doesn't register it. I am running a 80GB PS3 "fat" model.

Are you using the physical or digital versions of LBP 1&2? Do you currently have the game save information in you game utility folder? Are your games all the same region?

I have the physical copy of both games, and my saved games are still on the HD, but I DID at one point erase the game data from the game utility folder. It has since been reinstalled, but that may have caused the hiccup.

If you've loaded up LBPK since re-installing the previous LBP game data and not received the Unicorn DLC then you'll have to delete your LBPK profile and start from the beginning!
