5 Things

Archive: 10 posts

Okay, so I've been fiddling and twiddling with LBPV Create Modefor a while now, so I thought I'd make this little list. 5 things I love about Vita, and 5 Things I hate. I'm not gonna include Vita specific features such as tilt and touch, but I might include some of the extra logic.

Things I love:

1. Logic pieces such as OR Gates and AND gates can be tweaked to perform multiplication or addition, (which means you don't have to use the cumbersome subtraction method.) This is very useful for complex stuffs like feedback loops, where addition is important.

2. You can pan and zoom the camera even whilst in a menu. Incredibly helpful whilst adjusting piston lengths and the like. That back touchscreen is so very useful!

3. Pistons have a positional setting. This is very useful for creating bosses and the like, or a platform that will raise you up depending on the signal strength of something.

4. Memorisers. I haven't fiddled with this yet, however, I reckon we'll be seeing some amazing RPG's with save capabilities. Someone will create an RPG that I shall download, and I will play it everywhere. Hazaa!

5. DEPHYSICALISE! Errmigawd, the bestest thingest everist. Keep sthermo down, so easy. Make character creating so easy, I made some running legs that didn't look stupid with the silly joints, the seperate leg parts can collidde with each other without...colliding.

5 Things I HATE:

1. The corner editor. It doesn't snap to the edges of an object, it's difficult to explain, but if you've used it, you'll know what I mean.

2. Cardboard texture. I don't like it. It's different to the one in LBP2, and it doesn't sticker so nicely.

3. Rewind takes a looooong time, even with minimal thermo. Really annoying, as I always use the rewind instead of unstickering my object, or just changing the corner with the editor.

4. The tutorials aren't great. I love all the tutorials where you go and actually go into a sorta level, and get to make as Fry talks. But sometimes, they were a little bit annoying, and not so informative.

5. I can't play LBP2 levels. My queue list is huge, and I can't play them because I'm never on LBP2, instead I'm on Vita. Boo-hoo.

So what are your likes and dislikes, guys? Make your own lists!

One thing I hate is that you can't move your waist like LBP2, only your head. Althought, we can't move just one arm...

Sorry for my bad english.

That's your own fault, not the game's.

The reason the corner editor doesnt snap to the edge is it allows you to drag a box and select multiple corners, its actually really useful but it did annoy me at first too.2012-11-21 14:21:00

You can also draw a line around all the corners you want to select with touch after selecting an object.

One of my favorite tools in lbp psp was the corner editor.

Lbp Vita's corner editor for the most part, is a carbon copy of psp, and I love it.

I personally think that the corner editor not snapping to the object's boundaries is a blessing. It helps when corner editing things of a very small size. When bound to an object, the corner editor tends to automatically snap to a nearby already made corner. This is not the case when not bound to an object however, as you can select away from the object, making creating new corners much easier. Difficult to explain, but those who have found themselves making corners on small, already elaborate objects may know what I mean.2012-11-23 05:04:00
