Fire Wall?

Alright, so this is what I'm working with:

^The way I want this to work is when you shoot it. I want the fire wall to come up behind you and stay there for a certain amount of time. Basically, it's a obstacle. I tried the weapon logic but it seems as I'm not doing something right. As soon as I shoot it, it always hits the ground, causing it to explode.Now trust me, I'm not a newb who's new at logic, I know my way around, I just can't figure this one out.

Help?

Make indestructable, with an or switch attached to a timer that triggers a destroy object whenever you want to get rid of it.2012-11-19 23:08:00

Kinda like a mine, but like a blockade on the track.

^It's like something in your video when you shoot the red blockade. Except I want it to show up as soon as you shoot it. If you still don't understand,

If you know the game Crash team racing, you know how you can shoot the Red and Green nitro boxes behind you? I want it just like that!

If you want it to follow the kart the easiest and most memory efficient solution would probably be to create a custom kart with a firewall on each side. Then make that kart an area of effect self weaponizer with transform triggered on.

If you want it to be a detachable weapon there is a weaponizer option that allows for it. I can't remember exactly where I found it, but I remember seeing that you could switch a weapon mode to "object" where the fired weapon would stay as an object on the track. Then, I would use logic to controls its duration.

Yeah I tried this,but like I said in the OP, everytime I shoot it behind me, it explodes instantly instead of popping up, making a blockade for the players/AI behind me.

It could possibly be the object is too big (so it touches you when you fire it and explodes, but since you shot it, it doesn't kill you) or the placement of the weaponator gadget is in a bad spot/angle (say you have it placed on one side and facing north, which would make the object appear on top of the user, thus self detonating it)

I'd recommend fiddling with smaller size fire walls and different placed weapon gadgets and see what works and what doesn't.
